The Hearthstone All-Star Invitational returns this December – more specifically, between the 28th and the 30th of December this year, Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium in Taiwan is going to be hosting the event. The three-day event is going to feature some of the top Hearthstone platers in the world!

16 players from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and the rest of the world are going to go face off in a series of challenges. There will be spotlights for regional and international high-level performances as well as show matches and activities – in other words, just about everything a Hearthstone fan could ask for.

The big kick-off event will be the Community Night on December 28. It starts at 6.30pm (GMT+8). The first event of that night will be a pretty epic one – an all-female streamer show match! The roster will include players like “Jia” from the Philippines, “Jinny” from South Korea and “Fish” as well as “babybaby1111” from Taiwan.

The tournament itself, that is to say the 2018 Hearthstone All-Star Invitational will take place on the next two days. Starting at 11am (GMT+8), we don’t quite know the full line-up of players yet. So far, six have been revealed – three international invites and three seed players from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. The six players so far were revealed along with the official tournament trailer, which you can watch below:

As for the rest of the players – 10 more, of course, 5 will be international invites whereas the other five will be determined by community voting from November 24th until November 29th. The final roster will be revealed on November 30th – well in time for the tournament. All in all, there are 16 players that fans can choose from during the voting period, to fill the available five spots for this category.

The players so far include: Hunterace – the first Hearthstone 3-Star Master, Fr0Zen – the 2017 Hearthstone HCT World Championship runner-up, Thijs – the CN vs EU Championship 2018 Champion, kin0513 – the 2018 Asian Game Hearthstone Tournament Champion, tom60229 – the 2017 Hearthstone HCT World Champion and Virtual – the 2017 Hearthstone All-Star Invitational Champion.

Don’t worry if your favourite star isn’t on the list – since there are ten more players that have been/will be chosen soon, there’s a good chance your top pick will be among them! If you can’t attend the event in person – and there is a good chance you won’t be in Taiwan at the end of December – you can, of course watch a broadcast of the whole thing.

There will be a live broadcast of it on YouTube in multiple languages, including, of course, English, Mandarin and Thai. The final match of the tournament will take place on the 30th of December, towards the end of the day. More details will still be revealed closer to the date, including the exact schedule of the matches and events coming up.
