CBLOL Cup 2026 Format
The CBLOL Cup 2026 arrives with a major format change, increasing the total number of games by 57% compared to LTA Split 1 2025 to make the tournament more dynamic and engaging. The event has been renamed from Split 1 to “Copa CBLOL” (Portuguese for CBLOL Cup).
The tournament will be divided into three phases: the Group Stage, the Play-In, and the Playoffs.
Regular Season
In the Regular Season (January 17 to February 1), eight LoL teams will play best-of-one matches in a single round-robin format. The top four teams that emerge will advance directly to the Playoffs, and the remaining teams will proceed to the Play-In for a shot at redemption.
Play-In
The Play-In (February 2–3) will follow a single-elimination format, with matches played as best-of-three series, except for the Finals, which will be played as a best-of-five series. The fifth and sixth-seeded teams from the Group Stage will start in the Upper Bracket Final, while the teams placed 7th and 8th will begin from the Lower Bracket Semifinal.
The two Play-In winners will qualify as Seed 5 and Seed 6 in the Playoffs. All remaining teams will be eliminated.
Playoffs
The Playoffs (February 7–28) will follow a double-elimination format, with all matches played as a best-of-five series. A total of six teams will compete in this stage, comprising four teams from the Group Stage and two teams qualified from the Play-In.
Seeding will work as follows:
- The 1st and 2nd seeded teams in the Group Stage get a bye to the Upper Bracket Semifinals.
- The 1st placed team can choose their bracket position, effectively selecting their potential opponents.
- The 3rd and 6th placed teams will start in Upper Bracket Round 1.
- The losing teams from the Upper Bracket Round 1 will drop to the Lower Bracket Round 1.
The winner of CBLOL Cup 2026 will get a direct ticket to First Stand 2026, Riot’s opening international event of the season.
