Final days at OGA Dota PIT Season 4 and BTS Pro Series Season 4 Europe/CIS
The OGA Dota PIT Season 4 started days ago, only a day after the action-packed EPIC League concluded. While many participating teams may be fatigued after the event, the matches were still incredible to watch thus far. Meanwhile, BTS Pro Series Season 4 runs parallel to OGA PIT with Vikin.gg and Live2Win playing both events simultaneously.
Understandably, both OGA PIT and BTS Pro Series decided to speed progress up in the event by skipping the group stage altogether. After all, the teams already had one too many group stage games during the EPIC League, so there’s definitely no complaints regarding the lack of matches here. The insta-playoffs are classic double-elimination best-of-three series, except for the grand finals being a heavy best-of-five.

The story so far
Team OG and Virtus.pro were definitely the favorites coming into OGA PIT after delivering an intense grand final at the EPIC League over the weekend. Coincidentally, the two rivals even got to meet each other again in their first playoff match for another rematch. Navi and Team Nigma have been a staple in online tournaments this year, but they have yet to prove their strength and consistency, despite Kuroky’s return to the pro scene.
In the final day, OG comes in as the 1st finalist, after besting NaVi 2:1 early last night. Nigma now awaits Navi at the loser bracket to determine OG’s challenger for the throne.
Down at BTS, Live2Win dominated the groups and are now set to play Yellow Submarine in the Playoffs. A decider will obviously decide the opponent for Vikin.gg later today.
Back to back Grand Finals for OG
Its shaping up to be a good week for OG overall. Two finals in quick succession, on top of a sweet revenge run versus Virtus.Pro on the first day of the event. Their path to the finals was clean considering they had to battle VP, Nigma and NaVi in back to back matches. The squad is now facing one of their last two opponents in the finals.
Final matches of the season
The following weekend will mark the final competitive matches in Dota 2 in Europe for the 2020 season. While, there were many new roster debut this fall, it all comes down to a few “well established” rosters for the final strech. Navi has had the FlyToMoon’s roster for trial since the ESL One Germany 2020, and it has only been glories ever since. While Navi didn’t make it into the top three finishes at EPIC League, their performance at OGA PIT has been commendable, thus far. Nigma and OG have largerly rocked the same roster for the entire season and will continue to do so in 2021.
OG versus Nigma and Vikin.gg versus Yellow Submarine would be an ideal setup for both grand finals, as it will represent the best two established rosters and the best two up and coming rosters in 2020 face off against one another.
Those seeking to put their final Dota 2 bets for the season, may find both tournaments featured at GG.Bet at favorable odds.
