A lot of attention is paid to the best Fortnite players and those who win competitions, but streamers and content creators are just as important to the game. These are the players that get a lot more exposure, with huge viewer numbers and influence. They have to focus on entertaining viewers as well as playing well. They need to be engaging, funny, and play at a decent enough skill level to make things interesting.
This list is of the top Fortnite streamers. The streamers in the game who are the best at the game, or have the biggest audience watching them. Or even some who have bucked all trends and found their own unique ways to play and play a following. Ninja is one of the biggest names in Fortnite and might have one of the largest followings in gaming in general. The streamer did previously compete in a lot more competitive Fortnite events. He placed well in several events in 2018, and even in one event in 2019 in a long hiatus. The player simply doesn’t go for competitive events as a contender anymore. He placed well in the Chapter 2 Season 1 FNCS finals but hasn’t bothered to compete in the actual event of the Fortnite World Cup. Ninja instead played in a special celebrity side event. However, he’s been back in a big way with the launch of Chapter 3. Ninja has returned to the title that made him a household name. His streaming style has changed over the years, but it has to downplay his influence on both Fortnite and streaming as a whole. Loserfruit is one of the top Fortnite streamers and overall streamers around at the moment. She plays a variety of games but is probably best known for Fortnite. She’s even had an in-game skin produced because of this. While there have been a few others, Loserfruit had the second Fortnite Icon Series as one of the best Fortnite streamers in the game. Loserfruit’s attention does switch between games from time to time. However, her Fortnite streams are still some of her biggest.

Clix is one of the top Fortnite streamers attracting huge crowds to his streams. He is also well known for being a pro player. Clix is often a high-ranking player in Fortnite Champion Series events, including ranking at the Chapter 5 Season 1 FNCS Major 1. However, as a streamer people watch him for more than high-level gameplay. His commentary and interactions with viewers have made him one of the most fun pro players to watch stream Fortnite.
SypherPK is a Fortnite competitive player and streamer who has a decent following across YouTube for his content. While he is a Fortnite streamer with a focus on fun, SypherPK plays at a competitive level. He makes great content out of the title. He has remained one of the top players in Chapter 2 of the game and into Chapter 3, 4, and 5.

Nickeh30 is a streamer with a bit of a difference in Fortnite. He’s focused on being entirely family friendly with his streams. While lots of streamers have young audiences, Nickeh30 focuses on making his streams safe for all ages.
NickEh30 has become one of the names most associated with Fortnite recently.The player is known for his meme-worthy custom games, where he and 99 other players act out weird scenarios in the world of Fortnite. He’s a unique player and probably one of the biggest overall gaming streamers.

Bugha first rose to prominence as a Fortnite pro player, but he’s also quite the streamer. In terms of subscribers and viewers, Bugha has often ranked as one of the most watched Fortnite streams on the whole of Twitch. The player has gained a following for his pro-level gameplay, but viewers stick around specifically to watch him play. Bugha can provide the kind of commentary that only comes with knowing the workings of the game really well.
Bugha’s prominence as a streamer has made him a go to content creator for watching pro matches. His streaming has proven to be a consistently engaging channel, even when he’s not at the top of Fortnite esports.

Dakotaz is a great player and could likely drop into a game with the majority of the player base and perform miraculous feats. However, he doesn’t put himself up against the very highest tier of the game anymore. In the past, he played for TSM but has since left to focus entirely on streaming instead. Dakotaz is a bit unique as a streamer. For a long time, he didn’t use a face-cam, so streams were entirely based on his commentary and gameplay. While this has changed, his content has always relied more on substance.
He now plays a variety of games but Fortnite is often in the mix when not busy with Valorant. Lately, he’s been showing off just how skilled he is with the Sniper, great since Chapter 5 brought back one-shot kills with the gun.

Mongraal is another pro player who has branched out into streaming in a big way. While he’s known for playing at a high level, his performances on streams bring in just as much attention. Mongraal has played a variety of games over the years and doesn’t always focus on Fortnite. However, he has had a big following in Fortnite over the years.

We have some honorable mentions we have to put on our list. They were at one point two of the biggest Fortnite streamers before they moved on to other ventures and adventures.
TimTheTatman is one of the best Fortnite streamers but also a really solid player. He doesn’t focus on the competitive side of the game though. Instead, he actually plays the game for fun on streams! It gives him the freedom to play a lot of different games. His skill level is high from playing Fortnite as a living for such a long time, but he doesn’t really count as one of the best players.
He has done well in the limited competitive events he enters, but he plays a lot of different games rather than focusing on one. TimTheTatman is another one of the top Fortnite streamers who has moved towards other games, specifically Warzone. He doesn’t play much Fortnite right now, but it could change again in the future. He came back quite a bit for Fortntie OG, but the allure of COD was too much once Chapter 5 hit.

Tfue was one of the biggest names in Fortnite, being a great competitive player and streamer. He eventually stopped playing though, with other games replacing Fortnite on his streams. Recently, he’s returned to Fortnite for brief periods. If this becomes regular again, then Tfue will probably go back to being one of the best Fortnite streamers. While he’s often on Warzone now, he became one of the most famous Fortnite streamers.

Lazarbeam definitely ranked as one of the most popular streamers at some points. However, his streams went from an occasional bit of fun to basically non-existent. The player hasn’t quite kept up the pace with Fortnite content as the game’s develops. He still has a loyal following though. His videos have exposed the world to some of the most fun meme strats, even if he’s not a big presence in the game anymore.

Streamers’ income really depends on how popular they are and what deals they have outside of streaming. They make money based on Twitch subscriptions and donations, and also through sponsorship. Whether that’s directly on their content, on their social media, or just in using certain equipment.
The top Fortnite players tend to be on low settings to get a better performance out of the game. In competitive games, getting a high FPS is much more important than having nice shadows. Streaming itself can also be a drain on a PC. So running Fortnite at low-performance mode lets them get a great FPS rate and perform better.
