Can I play CrossFire Crossplay? This popular online FPS developed by SmileGate for Microsoft Windows. Launched in China by Tencent, it became the highest-grossing online game worldwide in 2014 and has amassed $6.8 billion as of 2016. There is even a movie based on the game in development with Neal H. Moritz. But is crossplay available for Crossfire?

The game, split into two mercenary corporations, Black List and Global Risk, pits players against each other in objective-based scenarios and is available in two versions, Crossfire, the classic, and the Xbox version, CrossfireX, which was announced in 2019.

Is CrossFire Cross-Platform?

Not really. The classic Crossfire game is only available on PC, while the CrossfireX game is only available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. On the other hand, different Xbox users can play Crossfire Crossplay, but there is no connection to PC yet.

Is Crossfire Multi-Platform?

Definitely not! As we said before, Crossfire Crossplay is not out there yet, and the games for Xbox platforms and PC are actually different game titles, including new content exclusive to Xbox in the CrossfireX. Therefore you cannot play cooperative team play or combat with multiplayer features in Crossfire just yet.

Xbox: Available on Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S with Crossplay between consoles.

PC: You can download and play Crossfire from the main site or the Sierra Squad version from Steam.

How to Play Multi-Platform?

  • Game Updates: Make sure you have the latest version available for your platform.
  • Start the Game: Launch Crossfire.
  • Crossplay or Multiplatform: While unavailable to PC, this setting is automatically set on Xbox, so all you have to do is create a room and enjoy the game.

Crossfire is an excellent competitive game with a broad relationship to esports. However, not even the best Crossfire player can enjoy the Crossfire Crossplay option. Although the new version of the game already exists for Xbox, it is not available on PC, let alone can you enjoy crossplay on both platforms.
