Mr Green review - Rating the Mr Green esports betting service

Mr Green might be well known as being a top-class sports betting and casino gaming site, but our Mr Green review is going to show you how good this brand is for your esports betting. By reviewing the Mr Green esports betting service, you will quickly get to see how well this brand could give you decent odds for legendary titles like Counter Strike Global Offensive, League of Legends and Dota 2.

It’s easy to forget that Mr Green has only been around since 2007, but in just over a decade the brand has outgrown its Swedish origins to become one of the most visible online casino sites on the scene. With the successful launch of their sportsbook in 2016, it seems that the brand is going from strength to strength and so it’s only natural that Mr Green esports would also prove to be popular.

Our review won’t just focus on the Mr Green esports betting service, as we will look at all aspects of the betting site to see whether it’s safe, trustworthy and well suited to your wagering needs. And with a quick look at the Mr Green esports bonus, you should have everything you need to work out whether or not you should up to the Mr Green esports betting service.

Interface & Design Decent app but website can prove tricky to navigate

Loading up the Mr Green website reveals a very stylish homepage that revels in the rich green colour scheme that is tied to the brand. However, we have to say that we did have a few issues in actually navigating our way to the esports betting area. Instead of landing on the esports betting page, during our Mr Green review we repeatedly ended up at a page that described the joys of betting on esports, but failed to show us the relevant esports betting odds.

However, once we managed to find the Sports tab on the brand’s site we could click on the All Sports link and then find the relevant Mr Green esports bets. These were arranged in a clear and intuitive manner that’s similar to many other bookmaker’s websites, and the brand have given you simple ways to do things like switching the odds format or even contacting the customer support team via live chat.

Whilst the brand’s website can occasionally prove a little confusing on first glance, we did enjoy using the excellent Mr Green mobile app. This put the whole Mr Green esports betting experience in the palm of your hand and we were glad to find that the site looked great and performed well on the smaller screen of a smartphone or tablet.

Bonus Offers & Free Bets Get £10 in accumulator bets by signing up to Mr Green

If you want to get a head-start on your Mr Green esports bets, then you should take a look at the brand’s welcome offer. This is only available for brand new customers, but it looks to be a matched bet offer that can give you up to £10 in extra betting funds just for making a simple £10 bet.

Signing up for this welcome bonus proved to be very simple. Just register your account and verify your personal details, and then you can make a quick deposit of at least £10 and you won’t have to worry about needing any Mr Green bonus codes for this special offer. However, it’s important to remember that you will need to make a qualifying bet of at least £10 on any odds of 3/1 (4.00) or higher. Plus the qualifying bet will have to be settled before you get your extra betting funds so it’s probably best not to try and make an outright bet to claim this deal.

Once your qualifying bet has been settled then you should know that you can only use your extra bet tokens on accumulator bets with three or more selections. Thankfully, it looks like there aren’t any wagering conditions or time limits with this special offer.

Payments Standard selection of real money payment methods but beware of withdrawal fees

You won’t have to worry about the risks of skin gambling at Mr Green as this brand only facilitate real money payment methods. This means that you can use credit and debit cards like Visa and MasterCard, e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller, or try using a Paysafecard prepaid card to top up your account balance. In addition to these options, there is also the opportunity of making a direct bank transfer via Trustly.

Whilst Mr Green don’t appear to include any costs for adding funds to your account, it looks like the brand have made the controversial decision to charge for some withdrawals. The withdrawals page on the Mr Green site states that they will charge £1 for each £100 that you withdraw. Whilst this isn’t a huge amount, it’s still surprising to find that the brand feel the need to do this as most other bookmakers appear to get by without including any fees.

Despite this, Mr Green promise to give you a fast and efficient way to make payments. Most deposits apart from bank transfer deposits should be carried out nearly instantly, whilst bank transfer and card withdrawals can take up to three business days.

Esports Markets Only the biggest esports featured at Mr Green

If you’ve come to the Mr Green website looking for bets on fairly niche esports like Rocket League or World of Tanks, then you might be disappointed. This is because Mr Green have decided to only feature odds for the world’s biggest esports which means that this site could be a good choice for any casual esports betting fan.

So what kinds of esports does Mr Green actually cover? In the course of our Mr Green review we found that the brand had a good choice of odds for first-person shooters like CSGO and Overwatch, as well as bets for battle arena titles like Dota 2 and League of Legends, plus there were even some StarCraft II betting options in there.

For a major LoL World Championship match, you could enjoy well over 20 different betting markets that covered everything from a basic match winner bet, to odds on any player to get a penta kill, or even a bet that gave you chance to predict what kind of dragon would be slain first.

Live Streaming Lack of live streaming for Mr Green esports betting

We all know how live streaming is the best way to add some adrenaline to an in-play esports bet, but it looks like Mr Green have failed to include even a basic Twitch.tv link in their esports betting service.

But before you turn elsewhere for your live esports bets, it’s worth mentioning that Mr Green does include an excellent range of in-play bets for all of their esports. This means that you won’t just have to make do with a standard match winner bet, but you can also make in-play bets on things like the total number or rounds and the esports team to claim the first map. This doesn’t quite make up for the lack of live streaming, but it shows that Mr Green can still help you make some decent potential profits with your in-play esports bets.

Odds and Limits Fairly competitive odds from the Mr Green betting site

Mr Green have earned plenty of admiration for their competitive sports bets, but we couldn’t resist seeing how the brand’s esports odds compared to those of another bookmaker. So we put Mr Green’s esports odds to the test against Betway’s odds for a League of Legends World Championship match between Fnatic and Invictus Gaming.

If you’d backed Invictus Gaming to win this LoL clash at Mr Green then you would have gotten much better profits as the brand was offering odds of 1.45 for an Invictus Gaming victory which was marginally better than Betway’s odds of 1.35. However, if you thought that Fnatic were going to win this you would have won more with Betway’s odds of 2.95 that were much better than Mr Green’s odds of 2.60. All of which is a great reminder as to why you should always shop around for the best value esports bets.

Customer Service Live chat, phone and email customer support options

Regardless of whether you need help in setting up your account, or require assistance in making your first withdrawal, you can easily get in touch with one of Mr Green’s customer service team by clicking on the chat icon on the bottom right of the brand’s website. This will reveal a live chat or a messaging service that gives you a quick way to get an answer to your questions.

In addition to this, there is also a dedicated customer service email address, or even a telephone hotline number that looks like it is based in the UK. Don’t forget that Mr Green also include a reasonably helpful FAQ section that is divided into sections like Promotions and Bonuses, Withdrawal, Account Verification and so on. All of which should help you enjoy a stress-free betting experience at Mr Green.

Security Well-known and fully licensed betting site

As Mr Green is one of the most well-known betting sites around, it should give you a touch more confidence than many of the more unfamiliar bookmakers. Still, if you need some more reassurance about how the way that Mr Green are handling your personal details and deposits, then you will be comforted by the fact that the brand are licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority.

Both of these organisations are highly regarded for only giving licenses to those companies who can prove that they will give their customers a safe, fair and completely transparent online betting service. It’s also good to see that Mr Green have won plenty of awards within the online gambling industry that includes the SBC 2017 Socially Responsible Bookmaker of the Year. And with plenty of support from the likes of GamStop and GamCare to keep your esports betting responsible, it’s nice to find a bookie who is capable of looking after their customers.

Conclusion Key points from our Mr Green review

Mr Green are probably better known for their casino gaming options or their sports betting odds, but we were pretty impressed with what we found in our esports review. The bookmaker didn’t cover many of the more niche esports, but if you are into betting on CSGO, League of Legends or Dota 2, then you could easily take advantage of the great esports odds that Mr Green offers.

We have to admit that we found the Mr Green website a little tricky to navigate around, but their betting app gave us a faultless and very streamlined way to bet on esports. If Mr Green could have made more of an effort to improve their in-play betting experience with some live streaming, then we think that their site could be a big hit amongst gamers. And obviously, if they could remove their annoying processing fees, then the brand would have earned a much higher score.

But on the whole, we found that the Mr Green esports betting experience is certainly capable of appealing to many gamers out there. So why not grab the Mr Green welcome bonus and see how you can enjoy some very competitive odds at this much-loved betting site?
