All Four VCT China Champs Slots Claimed Ahead of Stage 2 Finals Weekend
VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) China Stage 2 is scheduled to conclude first (August 24), with EMEA, Pacific, and Americas finishing up on August 31.
The Chinese teams are speedrunning through the Champions Paris qualification process, and ahead of everyone else. With the finals weekend (August 22-24) looming, four teams have already booked their tickets to the French capital.
The qualification process for Paris Champions is wrapping up with the regional Stage 2 events. We’ve already seen Sentinels and G2 make it through Americas, and RRQ and T1 survive in the Pacific region.
In Europe, we’ve seen Fnatic securing the first EMEA slot.

Let’s take a look at precisely what has happened in China, with all four slots quickly locked and loaded.
The Chinese teams at Champions Paris
With four matches at the Chongqing Science Hall still to be played, the four teams who’ll represent the region at Champions Paris have been confirmed as: Bilibili Gaming, EDward Gaming, XLG Esports, and Dragon Ranger.
Check out the VCT 2025 China standings as of August 21 below, indicating the total points earned before the Lower Bracket Final between XLG Esports and EDward Gaming.
- Bilibili Gaming (16)
- EDward Gaming (16)
- XLG Esports (16)
- Dragon Ranger (10)
- Wolves Esports (10)
- Trace Esports (8)
- FunPlus Phoenix (5)
- TYLOO (4)
- Nova Esports (4)
- Titan Esports Club (4)
- All Gamers (3)
- JD Gaming (2)
But hold up; what about Wolves Esports? They are, after all, tied at 10 points with Dragon Ranger. Well, the first requirement of the tiebreaker process at VCT China is the final placement in Stage 2.
Wolves Esports were at the bottom of the pack in Group Omega, resulting in an 11th/12th place finish in Stage 2. It was a disappointing finish to say the least, especially since Wolves Esports impressed at Masters Toronto, making it to the podium with a 3rd place finish.

Dragon Ranger, on the other hand, has earned a minimum top-four finish by making it to the Upper Bracket Final of the Playoffs.

Dragon Ranger were the final VCT China team to qualify for Champions Paris by earning a minimum of seven points, as they defeated EDward Gaming 2-0 and XLG Esports in the Stage 2 Playoffs bracket.
The fight for the VCT China Stage 2 crown continues from August 22 to 24, and the other regions will finish up on August 31. Soon enough, we’ll have the complete list of squads set to compete at the Les Arènes in Paris, France.
