All Teams Qualified for The International 2024

After a fair few weeks of fierce competition, we finally have all of the 16 teams qualified for The International 2024. There has been heartbreak, upsets and drama on all sides but now, the teams are going to be prepping to head to Copenhagen in September.

16 teams qualified for TI13

As usual, we can expect Europe to have a statistical advantage when it comes to who could win TI13. With 7 teams representing the region and some of the most intense competition to date, we may see yet ANOTHER European win.

Team Spirit famously turn it up when it comes to TI. Although things have fallen off for them in some recent tournaments, they’ll definitely be gunning to become the first team to ever win three TIs.

But others can’t be counted out. China has been slowly and surely making a comeback for some time now. In fact, Team Zero will be playing their first ever LAN as a roster at TI.

Who’s missing The International 2024?

We’ve actually got some new faces attending TI this year and that means some key names won’t be making an appearance. OG had a really tough couple of days when it seemed they’d have to forfeit their qualifier match against NaVi Junior. Ceb did end up managing to play the series but really, no one expected an OG to play their best Dota with a quite literally brand new dad in their ranks.

But it’s not only OG. Team Secret, LGD Gaming, Shopify Rebellion and TSM also won’t be playing at this year’s TI.

Ever since the removal of the DPC, the Dota calendar has got significantly more packed. Teams are playing back to back tournaments with both BLAST and PGL announcing new tournaments this year. This should go some way to making it easier for Div 2 orgs and lesser known teams to qualify.

There have been exactly 0 surprises at Majors this year but perhaps The International will see some new blood burst onto the scene in a way we haven’t seen since Team Spirit back in 2021.
