Best Dota 2 Heroes to play in 7.37 Update
The Dota 2 Update 7.37 arrived last week with many players experimenting on which are the best Dota 2 heroes to play at the moment.
With facets and innate ability reworks in this patch, we are seeing several undisputed yet unusual winners.

Tinker

Starting off with Tinker, specifically support Tinker. Traditionally a mid hero, Tinker in the recent meta is more fitted for the support hero role in team fights. Particularly, his new facet, Repair Bots got a +50% buff on its healing.
Repair Bots gives the skill, March of the Machines, a secondary effect which heals allies who are in its path. Couple this healing ability with heal-amplification item, Holy Locket, and Tinker is healing allies at 60 health per second.
We also recommend going all out on the healing use case by purchasing Guadian Greaves and Pavise, which offers heal and a targetable physical damage barrier respectively.
Omniknight

Speaking of healers, here’s another support hero that is winning the meta in Dota 2 Update 7.37 today. Omniknight, despite being primarily a heal support hero, only has one heal-based ability, Purification. The rest of the skillset offers various durability buff, damage and a strong physical damage shield, which are great but forces Omniknight to always buy more healing items to compensate his lack of healing abilities.
With his new facet, Healing Hammer, he can deal damage using Hammer of Purity, while healing himself. This comes in handy, especially for a melee support, who needs to zone enemies out of the lane. As it offers both self-sustain and damage to enemies, Omniknight becomes a viable lane support.
Lina

Among the strongest Dota 2 carries, Lina stands at the top of update 7.37. Essentially, Lina now has a ‘cleaving’ effect to her auto-attacks despite being a ranged hero. Her innate ability, Combustion, causes enemy heroes hit by her auto-attack to deal AOE damage every 150 damage she outputs.
As such, this puts her among the top auto-attack carries to build further with Gleipnir, Dragon Lance and BKB to truly bring out her DPS potential.
Medusa

Medusa joins the list of trending and overpowered Dota 2 heroes to play in patch 7.37 after she received a reworked third skill, called Gorgon’s Grasp. This replaces her former Mana Shield, which is great because you now have an additional nuke and a disable. For the uninitiated, the new skill essentially launches 3 volleys of net in front of Medusa, which ensnares opponents preventing them from escaping.
Medusa traditionally lack control in team fights, which makes her easy to kite if she does not have reliable teammates. Hence, this is a great rework for Medusa.
Additionally, she also received an additional third facet option, Engorged. This new facet scales extremely well in the late game because it deals one extra damage for every 6 mana she restores from using Mystic Snake.
Slark

Last but not least, Slark is arguably Icefrog’s favorite child at this point after he received consecutive buffs since patch 7.36.
Essentially, the various buffs makes Slark a late game powerhouse, especially against the current meta carries. Heroes, such as Medusa and Lina, rely on strong stats to deal heavy damage, which Slark’s attribute-stealing passive counters effectively.
Looking at the whole list once again, support players have one unorthodox yet fun option to pick, that being Tinker. We recommend trying him in your pubs, especially since he has a +12% improved win rate now. The rest are great too, so be sure to pick them while patch 7.37 lasts.
