Black Ops 6 is this year’s Call of Duty title, and it’s almost guaranteed to be well-received when it’s released on October 25. It’s the most highly anticipated game in the series for years, with the trailers pulling in record-high viewership figures just days after release. One thing that everyone is concerned about is the scope of the game and how much digital meat is on those bones. With that in mind, we’re here today to answer a question: ‘How long is the Black Ops 6 campaign?’

Typically, the longest Call of Duty games won’t push past a few hours in terms of their campaign length. The multiplayer offering is where Call of Duty shines – and also spin-off modes like Zombies and Call of Duty: Warzone. That being said, Black Ops 6 has been in development for four years, so it stands to reason it’ll have a longer campaign than most.

It was recently confirmed that the Black Ops 6 campaign will last around seven to ten hours, depending on your playstyle. That’s also an estimate based on playing the game on Normal difficulty – playing on ‘Easy’ will yield a lower playtime, while playing on ‘Hard’ or ‘Veteran’ will boost it based on the increased challenge. On average, it’s estimated it’ll take around eight or nine hours to complete Black Ops 6’s campaign.

That’s based on a confirmation from Yale Miller, the Director of Production working on Black Ops 6, who said it’s ‘in line with a classic Call of Duty’. Here’s what that looks like in numbers:

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare: 7 – 9 hours
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009): 7 -10 hours
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2: 7 -10 hours
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare: 7 – 9 hours

If you’re a completionist, Black Ops 6 will last considerably longer. That’s because you’ll want to unlock all the bonus features, find every easter egg and collectable, and perhaps complete the game on every difficulty rating. If that’s the way you prefer to play, you could make Black Ops 6 last upwards of 15 – 20 hours.

Once you’re done with the campaign, you’ll of course be transitioning to Black Ops 6’s multiplayer platform. This yields the potential for unlimited amounts of playtime – a subjective figure at best. Those who ‘gel’ with Black Ops 6 will stick with it for hundreds of hours, while those put off by the game’s ‘Omnidirectional Movement system’ and other new features will give up relatively quickly.
