100 Thieves Reportedly Target Gla1ve as Head Coach for Counter-Strike Return

100 Thieves’ long-awaited return to Counter-Strike is beginning to take shape. According to reports, Danish legend Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander is expected to join the roster rebuild as head coach, marking the first major move of his post-playing career.

The 30-year-old only stepped away from competing in November, closing the book on a decorated playing journey that included era-defining and esport-defining, success with Astralis and a stint with ENCE.

In his retirement announcement, he confirmed that he was ready to jump into a coaching role, and few projects come bigger than anchoring 100 Thieves’ Counter-Strike revival after five years away from the scene.

Gla1ve Joining Rain on 100 Thieves?

Now, according to reports from HLTV, Gla1ve is going to be a key part in 100 Thieves’ return. If the move is finalized, gla1ve would become the second major addition to the team’s foundation. In November, 100 Thieves announced the signing of Håvard “rain” Nygaard, bringing in one of FaZe Clan’s longest-standing members away from the lineup he helped steer to multiple international trophies.

Interest around the roster has been building for weeks. Early reports linked 100 Thieves with moves for members of GamerLegion’s core, though the organization’s CEO Nicolas Reber later clarified that while conversations had taken place, no active negotiations were underway.

With rain already secured and gla1ve heavily rumored, it’s unclear what may come to fill out the rest of the roster.

We have speculated on who could join rain on the 100 Thieves Roobet CS team, including players that would fit well, such as Klimentil “kl1m” Krivosheev or Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia, though nothing has been too heavily rumored since the GamerLegion rumors.

The organization has also been working on building a solid support structure for its eventual roster. Former Complexity and Astralis figure Graham “messioso” Pitt has joined as Head of CS Operations, while Sean “SeanGares” Gares has signed on as Head of FPS.
