Group A

Anything short of topping Group A at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 is obviously a massive disaster for favorites Spirit. We’d be shocked to see OG finish anywhere above the bottom too, so the real battle here is for second and third place. We think Heroic just pip Complexity here, especially given the NA team’s form of late. This could be a coin-flip decided by individual performances, though.

Group B

On paper, Group B should prove to be the most competitive in Copenhagen. Team Vitality have had their issues of late, as have Astralis, but we still expect them to find the victories needed to land in the top two spots here. Team Falcons have shown nothing to suggest they’re at all close to leaving behind their own disastrous form. GamerLegion are something of an anomaly. They’re such a young team, which could prove both a blessing and a curse. We think it’s too soon here, but don’t count them out.

Group C

Yes, we have G2 above FaZe Clan. After reaching the Final of the EWC 2024, this new-look G2 lineup have shown they’ve got what it takes to compete at the top. FaZe have been uninspired of late, and could suffer at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024. Meanwhile, NiP and Cloud9 are two very interesting prospects. Both feature two new rosters with some younger stars, and can cause some serious damage. We don’t expect them to get past G2 or FaZe, but let’s see what they can do.

Group D

NAVI should clearly top Group D. Coming off the back of winning the Esports World Cup 2024, they’re probably the best CS2 team around right now. Meanwhile, Virtus.pro have had a couple of Semi-Final appearances in a row now, representing some big steps forward for this roster. We expect growing pains for the new Team Liquid roster, which is why we think they’ll finish third in Group D. Finally, there’s BIG. It’ll be interesting to watch rigoN make his debut, but we’re not sure there’s too much to be excited about here.
