M80 best Nouns to reach Thunderpick WC 2024

M80 are your Thunderpick World Championship 2024 NA Qualifier Champions, securing their place at the main event in October later this year. They join BLEED and Imperial, who qualified through the EU and SA Qualifiers respectively.

At the final hurdle, only Nouns stood between M80 and qualification – here’s how they managed it.

M80 take down Nouns

M80 continue to prove that they’re an organization with a plan in CS. They first entered CS in the middle of last year, and the latest victory in the Thunderpick WC 2024 NA Qualifiers proves their long-term ideas are working. They were made to work for it however, requiring a reverse-sweep to bring down Nouns here.

2:1 was the scoreline, but once M80 got going, the last two maps were hardly a contest. Nouns, who have looked rejuvenated lately by the addition of veteran Major winner RUSH, collapsed under the pressure as players like Swisher and reck took control of proceedings for M80. Victory here secures M80’s place in the Thunderpick World Championship 2024, which will be one of the biggest LAN events of the year when it takes place in October.

More brilliance from malbsMd

Right now, malbsMd is one of the hot prospects of the Americas region. The Guatemalan rifler’s reputation has been bolstered massively over the last few months, partly thanks to a nuclear performance at ESL Pro League. In the Final of the Thunderpick WC 2024 NA Qualifiers, malbsMd continued to show exactly why he has found himself garnering such attention of late.

The opener on Mirage proved tough on malbsMd, where he went 14:17 as M80 dropped behind in the series. Not one to let the team down, malbsMd quickly bounced back, delivering two extremely strong maps on Ancient and Inferno. His score across all three maps finished at 44:38, and an ADR of 86.5 proved he was a menace for Nouns to deal with throughout the series. We can’t wait to see even more of malbsMd going forward.
