Magisk Reportedly Out of Astralis With Minor Restructure On The Cards

The legendary Danish rifler, Emil “Magisk” Reif, is reportedly set to leave Astralis for the second time in his storied career—and Martin “stavn” Lund is unlikely to make a return.

Enlisting the help of Magisk, the four-time Major Championship winner, wasn’t enough for Astralis to make it deep into the StarLadder Budapest Major, crashing out with a 2-3 record in Stage 2. Now, a report suggests Astralis may be down to three active players, which could bode poorly for Danish Counter-Strike.

Astralis CS2 Roster Restructure Incoming?

We’ll likely see a roster restructure in the legendary Danish organization’s camp. Credible reports of Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz joining 100 Thieves, thereby reuniting with IGL Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander (now a coach), seem to be just the tip of the iceberg.

According to a report published by Dust2.dk on December 12, 2025, independent sources have reported to both Dust2 and HLTV that Magisk and Astralis won’t continue their collaboration.

On September 1, 2025, Magisk stepped in to help the team after “personal circumstances” led Martin “stavn” Lund to step away from the active lineup to “prioritize his health.”

Unfortunately for fans of stavn, the Dust2.dk report also suggests that the 23-year-old rifler’s return to the active Astralis lineup is “unlikely at this time.”

So, where does this leave Astralis? If the reports are accurate, we could see the Danish roster down to three players soon, looking to fill the gaps of Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz and Emil “Magisk” Reif.

Astralis’ core roster could look like this:

  • Victor “Staehr” Staehr
  • Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard
  • Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen (IGL)
  • Casper “ruggah” Due (Coach)

Until Astralis officially confirms these roster shakeups, one should take these rumors with a grain of salt, despite a high degree of credibility.

The off-season following the StarLadder Budapest Major will likely be a busy one for Astralis, since the first significant event of next year, BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 1, kicks off on January 13.
