MOUZ take down holders Spirit to win BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024

In Collaboration with Thunderpick

After six days of top-tier Counter-Strike action, BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 has come to an end. This time around, last year’s winners, Spirit, faced off against a MOUZ team hot on the heels of winning ESL Pro League Season 19. Cutting to the chase – MOUZ won the day, but it was the nitty-gritty details about how they came out on top that are most impressive. Let’s see how they did it.

After recently winning ESL Pro League, you would have forgiven MOUZ for showing signs of fatigue on such a tight schedule. However, in this clash of the titans against Spirit, we saw none of that on the server. Instead, MOUZ dominated Spirit in a 3:0 series that got less competitive the more maps were played. With a two-tournament winning streak now confirmed, MOUZ have cemented themselves as the team to beat right now, and all eyes will be on this young roster going into IEM Dallas 2024.

Once again, MOUZ were left thanking their IGL siuhy, who fragged out way beyond his usual numbers again at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade. We don’t know what’s happened to siuhy of late, but if he’s managed to add star rifler numbers to his arsenal on top of his big-brain strats, then we’re looking at the top 1 IGL in the world. Don’t let this praise take away from the rest of MOUZ though – they all showed up here to contribute to a massive win over Spirit.

Even donk isn’t enough for Spirit

This time around, donk‘s brilliance wasn’t enough to take Spirit over the line. Despite maintaining a remarkable 102.6 ADR over three losing maps (the highest across both teams), the squad around him couldn’t quite do enough to remain competitive in this series. He’ll be frustrated that his efforts went to waste here, but luckily BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 can be seen as something of a practice event with Dallas fast approaching. Another tournament MVP will prove to be little consolation for donk, with his eyes on the game’s biggest pieces of silverware.

We’ll say it again – donk’s numbers for a naturally aggressive rifler are staggering. If you’re losing a three-map series with over 100 ADR, you just need some help on the server. We have a hunch that eyes will be on zont1x at IEM Dallas. He underperformed under pressure again in Belgrade, and he could well be on the chopping block if Spirit want to make any changes in the mid-season shuffle. After all, Perfecto is still available…
