TaZ is standing in for G2 at PGL Astana 2025. The team confirmed the news ahead of the upcoming CS2 tournament after huNter- failed to obtain a visa in time for the first match. It remains to be seen if TaZ will be standing in for G2 across the entire event, or whether it will simply be for the first match.

PGL Astana 2025 was meant to be hades’ debut on G2, with the Polish AWPer standing in for the team over the next few events. Now, it’s hard to imagine his start to life on G2 will go as planned as the team plays with their long-retired coach as a stand-in for huNter-. Last time TaZ stood in for G2 was at the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024, which, predictably, did not exactly go well.
This time around, G2’s matches with TaZ as a stand-in will be alongside Snax, reuniting the classic Virtus Plow duo on the server. Although their best playing days are almost certainly behind them, can they run it down one last time to show they can still kick it with the kids?
