Nouns win sets up blockbuster Thunderpick WC 2024 NA Qualifier Semis

We’re almost at the conclusion of the second set of Thunderpick World Championship 2024 NA Qualifiers. From 16 teams whittled down to four, we’re close to finding another one of the teams who will be attending the Thunderpick World Championship on LAN later this year.
We wanted to take a look at the Semi-Final matchups, and see how these teams have fared in the tournament so far.
Nouns vs. Legacy

Nouns vs. Legacy is probably the higher quality of the two matchups in the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 NA Qualifiers. Although there’s some debate about whether Legacy should be able to play the NA Qualifier with its all-Brazilian line-up, there’s no doubt about their ability. Their run so far is one of party-poopers, taking down Vibe first, the team featuring the likes of steel, Skadoodle, swag, and n0thing. After this, it was fl0m’s stream team Mythic who fell to Legacy, setting up the Brazilians well for the clash against Nouns.
As for Nouns, they’ve just been looking solid of late. The individuals have found some form, and the addition of Major winner RUSH seems to have made an instant impact. Female team TSM Shimmer were up first for Nouns, although the latter took the series in a quick 2:0. This was followed by the same result against Elevate, giving Nouns some great momentum as they move deeper into the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 NA Qualifiers.
Our prediction for this solid matchup is 2:1 in favor of Legacy. It should be competitive, and we expect both teams to drop their first maps of the tournament.
Wildcard vs. Party Astronauts

Wildcard are something of a, well, wildcard here. Strife and LAG have been their route to the Semi-Final of the Thunderpick WC 2024 NA Qualifier so far, but they’re teams we’d expect them to beat. Still, don’t let that take away from the impressive individual form of Sonic and SLIGHT, both of whom have gone huge for the team on the server.
Individually, Party Astronauts haven’t quite been as individually strong as Wildcard, but they’ve made up for it in the aggregate. We can’t take much from their win over E-Xolos LAZER, but their victory over NRG is a big scalp to take, especially without dropping a map. Party Astronauts seem to improve all the time, and they’re seeing the results during the Thunderpick World Championship NA Qualifiers.
Our prediction is that Wildcard take this one 2:1. They’ve generally had the edge over PA in head-to-head matches lately, and if their stars are up and running, then they’ll be tough to beat.
