The Esports World Cup 2024 CS2 tournament is right around the corner, where 15 of the best teams from around the world will fly to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to compete for their share of a $1 million prize pool. We’re taking a look at the top 20 players at the EWC 2024 CS2 event, to see who you should be looking out for when the action kicks off.

19-year-old AWPer w0nderful had the toughest job in all of Counter-Strike replacing s1mple on Natus Vincere, arguably the best CS:GO player of all time. The youngster has performed admirably in his absence, and comes to Saudi Arabia as one of the best players at the EWC 2024 CS2 tournament.

He has no problem going in first, with massive success rates establishing him as one of the best CS2 players in the world. Team Vitality lurker Spinx is another player struggling in 2024 compared to 2023. Yet, he remains so high on this list thanks to his extremely high ceiling at his best. When Spinx plays at his peak, Team Vitality can beat anyone, and he’ll be key to their success in Riyadh.

AWPer sh1ro moved to Team Spirit in the dying days of 2023, in a transfer that has worked out better than anyone could have hoped. He’s arguably the best clutcher in the entire world – no scenario is unwinnable for sh1ro. The Esports World Cup 2024 is a better event with sh1ro taking part.
