CS2 players sucker punches rival, who laughs it off on stage and then trash talks him online

Counter-Strike 2 player MAUschine has been banned from DACH CS Masters for 10 years after punching an opponent during the walkout.
The player hit Fabian “Spidergum” Salomon on the walkout after the match, with the sucker punch captured live on camera during the stream. The incident occurred during the CAGGTUS Leipzig LAN ceremony. MAUSchine proceeds to walk off as if nothing happened, while Spidergum smiles with his hand up in astonishment. You can find a mirror of the clip on Reddit.
However, several other tournaments have issued bans against the player, including DACH CS Masters, which issued a statement on X stating that they do not tolerate physical assaults and banned the player from their events for 10 years.
The incident has also been reported to ESIC, which will likely have consequences for the player’s career and CS2 content creation for the foreseeable future. Fragster, another tournament provider, also noted that the player is now banned for 10 years, too.
In addition, Spidergum’s organization, Regnum4games, released a statement regarding the incident. The organization claims that MAUschine made threats to Spidergum prior to the match, which then followed up and assaulted him during the broadcast’s award ceremony.
Though Spidergum is making the most of it by posting about how he is better at slapping than AWPing. Esports trash talk never fails to find its mark.
As it stands, MAUschine has yet to make an appearance on social media after getting removed from the stage. His Instagram, X, and Twitch accounts are dark. It’s also unclear if the German authorities have been made aware of the incident. The Leipzig police site details recent media reports, none of which detail the assault at the event.
There have also been no notifications of any punishment from Twitch for the assault during the live broadcast, or from ESIC just yet. The story is still developing, with more answers likely to surface with the new working week here.
Fan reactions
The slap has sparked a lot of talk. By and large, community discussion is all about banning the players. You know, since it is a crime, and physical assault is often not tolerated in many tournament rulesets. Some proceed to call every snowflake, as usual.
But the meme war has been rather strong.
