Your camp is an essential part of your journey in BG3 because it allows you to heal, interact with your Baldur’s Gate 3 companions and allies, and access your storage. What are Campsites used for in Baldur’s Gate 3?

The camp is mainly used for resting and restoring HP, spell slots and more after a fight. There are two ways to regain your energy in BG3. You’ll only need to go to the camp to take a long rest. Short rests can be taken at any time.

  • Short rest: This is free, requires no resources, and only takes 15 minutes from the game. Using this will only give your characters half of their energy.
  • Long rest: Taking a long rest will require you to interact with a bedroll and spend 40 camp supplies. In return, you can totally replenish your energy, spell slots and can heal some statuses.

How to leave Campsites

There is no apparent exit to walk to when in camp, so here are three different ways on how to leave campsite in Baldur’s Gate 3 and continue on your journey.

  • The first and easiest way is to use the bedroll and click on the ‘Leave Camp’ option that will appear on your screen.
  • You can also select the fire icon on the bottom right corner of the screen and press on the ‘Leave Camp’ option. Leaving the camp in this way will take you back to the location you were before coming to the camp.
  • If you don’t want to return to your previous location, press on your character using the cursor on your screen. Now open the ‘Map’ section of the screen and select the waypoint you want to fast-travel to.
