When is Dota 2 Crownfall Act 2 Release Date?
We can always rely on the data miners to leak the likely release date of the Crownfall Act 2. According to one game file, the epoch time “1715670000” points to the release date of May 14, 2024, at 7:00 AM GMT.
Additionally, a recent tweet by Wykrhm Reddy, captioning “Same man. Same tshirt. 16 years later. And that’s my one photo for the year. See you next year.” is enough grounds for the Dota 2 community to take that as a tease about Act 2’s release date being on May 16.
However, that date has passed, so perhaps this was the initial expected release date for Crownfall Act 2 but there has been a delay. On a side note, there’s also another epoch time “1718089200” mentioned in the game file, which points to June 11 at 7:00 AM GMT. This will likely be the end date for Act 2, which is in a month’s duration, similar to Act 1’s duration.
The actual Dota 2 Crownfall Act 2 release date
The current in-game page for Crownfall in the Dota 2 client lists “This Week” as the date Act 2 will unlock. This was updated on Monday, May 20. Prior to this, the client also listed the date as “Next Week,” with that change being made on or around May 17.
As a result, the most likely day for release is either late on May 21, or on Wednesday, May 22. Valve typically aims to release updates on Tuesdays or Wednesdays as that gives them at least a few days to fix any issues before the weekend.

Valve teased about the coming Acts containing “its own story, characters, a unique overworld map and all-new rewards”. For instance, perhaps new high-quality treasures, exclusive items and more chances at the Candyworks Caravan to roll an Arcana.
Will there be a new Dota 2 hero release in Crownfall Act 2?
Additionally, recent Dota 2 new hero leaks regarding a certain hero, the Candlemaker, has garnered attention. From the missing Candle Token to complete the final mission in Act 1, to the data miners finding an unofficial way to bypass the blocked quest on the Overworld map, only to find a pleasant message from Eldor the Wizard.
What’s for certain is, Icefrog and the Dota 2 dev team are certainly cooking something incredible for the Dota 2 community.
