Warlock Disabled in Dota 2 Due to Game-Breaking Bug

Dota 2 is one of those games that does not have many bugs that lead to severe game problems. However, it seems like there are exceptions because Valve decided to remove Warlock from the hero selection.

According to the available information, there is a bug that allows Warlock to level up much faster than the other heroes. Here’s what you need to know:

Warlock Is Not Available Due to a Level-Up Bug

Valve decided to pull Warlock from Dota 2’s current hero pool after it became clear that there is a big issue with the hero. According to players, an exploit allows the hero to reach level 30 after just 10 minutes of playing, giving those who use him an unfair advantage.

As expected, the exploit quickly gained traction across the Dota 2 community. It became clear that the abuse itself is related to Black Grimoire. Valve did not take long and quickly disabled the hero from matchmaking, and he will remain in this position until the company fixes the problem.

But what is this exploit all about? Well, the information shows that there are many instances of the big. All of them require you to put the Black Grimoire for sale, and then move it to the main inventory and deliver it to the stash. Once that happens, Black Grimoire becomes infinite, allowing Warlock to reach level 30 in around 10 minutes.

Other Classic Dota 2 Glitches & Potential Fix

At the time of writing, we at Esports.net can confirm that the glitch has not been fixed yet. With that said, Valve will most likely come up with a fix in a couple of days.

Dota 2 fans may remember that this is not the first glitch in Dota 2. There was an issue with Witch Doctor and Gris Gris. In 2024, there was another bug that involved Meepo and ultimately led to his removal from the active hero pool. Valve needed close to 24 hours to fix the problem back then, so we expect to see something similar soon.

In other news, The International 2025 tickets became available around one week ago, so make sure to get yours if you decide to attend the tournament. Right now, the best Dota 2 teams in the world are competing at the PGL Wallachia Season 4, so stay tuned for more information about the event.
