HEROIC’s Coach Claps Back at Haters After BLAST Slam IV Playoffs Birth
As the new Dota 2 season heats up, an on-form HEROIC has forced their way into the conversation as a top team to beat, and Brazilian coach, Igor “kaffs” Estevão, has something to say to the haters out there.
After winning FISSURE Universe: Episode 7, beating MOUZ with a 3-1 in the Grand Final, HEROIC attended their first Tier 1 event in BLAST Slam IV. After going 7-4 in the group stage, HEROIC swept Team Liquid under the rug with a 2-0 to qualify for the playoffs.
Taking to social media to celebrate, Igor “kaffs” Estevão proclaimed how much he loves his team. They celebrated the achievement, stating: “With this, HEROIC guarantees a TOP 6 finish in our first Tier 1 tournament [of the season], and also a really nice trip to a LAN in Singapore next month.”
He continued by thanking fans for the support, before finishing off the post by addressing those who have doubted HEROIC’s resolve: “to the haters: if you punks are still not satisfied, don’t worry, we will keep the good results coming.”
HEROIC’s recent strong results are undeniable, despite what any apparent haters might say. Their success should, at least in part, be attributed to recent roster changes.
HEROIC’s Roster & BLAST Slam IV Playoffs
Following The International 2025, where HEROIC narrowly lost 1-2 to BetBoom Team in the lower bracket quarterfinal, a couple of changes were made to the team lineup.
As part of the post-TI roster shuffle, HEROIC welcomed back Cedric “Davai Lama” Deckmyn in the offlane position, and parted ways with midlaner João Gabriel “4nalog” Giannini Santos. The squad then switched roles around, with Adrián “Wisper” Dobles moving into the midlane position.
HEROIC’s Dota 2 roster:
- Yuma “Yuma” Langlet
- Adrián “Wisper” Dobles
- Cedric “Davai Lama” Deckmyn
- Elvis “Scofield” Peña
- Matheus “KJ” Santos Jungles Diniz (Captain)
- Igor “kaffs” Estevão (Head Coach)

BLAST Slam IV continues with the playoffs stage from November 7 to 9, 2025. HEROIC will face Aurora Gaming in a best-of-three quarterfinals. If they win, TI14 champions, Team Falcons, await in the semifinals.
HEROIC fans can also catch them competing at FISSURE Playground 2 (October 23 to November 2), where the team will attempt to make another deep run.
