The BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 is the first tournament since The International 2024 (TI13). While many Dota 2 teams are still frantically trying to finalize their Dota 2 roster, Nigma and OG’s new line-up were ready for action.
It was all eyes on the two rivals at the WEU Qualifier for the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, and even more hype behind their match-up.
Meanwhile, MOUZ went under the radar throughout the qualifier after an early loss that sent them into lower bracket. Yet, it was MOUZ’s lower bracket run that turned out to be the highlight of the qualifier.
MOUZ’s Qualifier Journey
After losing to OG earlier in the upper bracket, MOUZ eventually got a second chance at redemption. In the lower bracket final, both teams put up a fight to force a game 3. However, it was this decisive third game that truly put the team in the spotlight.
MOUZ’s Medusa outshone OG in both farming efficiency and in team fights, forcing OG to overextend fights. OG’s Luna, while strong, couldn’t deal enough against MOUZ’s durable heroes. Alongside Medusa, was two other durable carries, Dragon Knight and Timbersaw. Hence, eventually, OG couldn’t keep up with the fights anymore, which led to their elimination.
Going into the finals versus Nigma Galaxy, with fans rooting for their opponent and already losing the first match. MOUZ was in a tough position to be in. Yet, MOUZ quickly regained their momentum and drafted phenomenally. While their hero picks are popular TI13 meta, MOUZ’s delivery on it was what won them the series.

From the clean setups with Naga Siren’s Song of the Siren, to well-communicated saves from the supports. MOUZ just seems like an overall more balanced team.

MOUZ’s Post-TI13 Roster Shuffle
Perhaps another contributing factor to MOUZ’s success was that they didn’t perform any roster shuffle. Unlike how most teams are trying out post-TI roster shuffles ahead of the new season, MOUZ kept their roster.
This roster is only six-months-old since their official announcement in March 2024, so that’s a good reason to not make changes yet. For the uninitiated, MOUZ’s line-up is comprised of Stefan “Ulnit” Gavrila, Ondřej “Supream^” Štarha, Nikko “Force” Bilocura, Ravdan “NARMAN” Narmandakh and Jonathan “Bengan” Hansson.
It’s a diverse line-up from different countries, and these players weren’t very high-profile. Nevertheless, MOUZ is taking a step in the right direction in building a decent and consistent Dota 2 team.
