As part of PGL’s commitment to the Dota 2 Esports scene, they have announced and confirmed thirteen PGL Wallachia tournaments that span through 2028. Each upcoming PGL Wallachia tournament already has its finalized dates with a backing of one-million dollar in prize pool each. This gives Dota 2 teams a heads-up on planning their schedule for PGL Wallachia tournaments while also establishing a schedule for other reliable organizers to not overlap important tournaments during these set schedules.
PGL’s entire Dota 2 roadmap will award $13 million in prize money that are up for grabs by the Dota 2 teams for years to come.
PGL Wallachia Reschedule
Just when we thought we had enough Dota 2 tournaments in 2025 , PGL adds an additional PGL Wallachia tournament into the remaining three-quarter of the year. The PGL Wallachia Season 5, which was initially planned for November 15-23, has been moved dramatically earlier to June 18-29 instead.
This is to make way for the additional PGL Wallachia Season 6 to take place between November 4-16.
PGL Dota 2 Tournament Dates for 2026, 2027, and 2028
Dota 2 fans have a lot to be excited about for the upcoming years with PGL boasting three tournaments in 2026. It seems like not every PGL tournament will be the PGL Wallachia series, but it’s still a packed schedule for Dota 2 teams to compete in. The dates are as below:
- PGL Tournament #1 (March 3 – 16, 2026)
- PGL Tournament #2 (April 14 – 26, 2026)
- PGL Tournament #3 (November 3 – 15, 2026)
In the subsequent years of 2027 and 2028, PGL has four tournaments in its line-up every year. In 2027, the tournament dates are:
- PGL Tournament #1 (March 2 – 14, 2027)
- PGL Tournament #2 (May 11 – 23, 2027)
- PGL Tournament #3 (October 19 – 31, 2027)
- PGL Tournament #4 (November 16 – 28, 2027)
And finally, in 2028, the PGL Dota 2 tournaments are on:
- PGL Tournament #1 (March 1 – 12, 2028)
- PGL Tournament #2 (May 8 – 21, 2028)
- PGL Tournament #3 (October 17 – 29, 2028)
- PGL Tournament #4 (November 7 – 19, 2028)
This is an exciting time to be a Dota 2 Esports fan as PGL dishes out tournaments every year for us to watch. And, lets not forget about the International Championship too, which PGL also hosts every year for Valve. However, perhaps not too exciting since PGL’s controversial update on rulebook guidelines on all chat messages for pro players will also take effect on these tournaments.
This move will surely set an example for other major Dota 2 organizers, such as ESL, FISSURE, BLAST and Riyadh Masters’ EWC Foundation to commit towards a sustainable Dota 2 Esports scene too.
