Precisely No One Predicted All 16 Teams Correctly in The International 2025 Swiss Stage

Valve has whimsically revealed that precisely no one managed to accurately predict the placement of all 16 teams at the Road to the International, just before the TI14 main event gets underway.

During the Swiss stage at The International 2025, also known as “Road to The International,” defending champions Team Liquid fell, and favorites Team Spirit were sent packing.

We saw the resurgence of Chinese Dota with Xtreme Gaming coming out on top, as eight of the 16 Dota 2 esports teams made it to the Barclays Arena in Hamburg, Germany.

With upsets aplenty, one would assume most Dota 2 esports fans wouldn’t get a perfect score for their in-game Road to The International predictions, with precise placements for each team.

With millions of players all trying to channel their inner Oracles, one would think at least a few would hit the nail on the head…right? Wrong.

Millions of predictions, zero Oracles

Right at the bottom of a recent announcement from Valve, in which the developer primarily discusses details for those attending The International 2025 in Hamburg, some interesting information was shared.

In classic Valve fashion, they had some fun with readers, announcing that:

We’d like to congratulate everyone who correctly predicted the placement of all sixteen teams at the Road to the International. All zero of you.

The developer went on to explain that, despite “millions upon millions of predictions,” not a single person got everything correct for the Road to The International portion. Only 0.02% of fans managed to get at least ten predictions correct, which it says you should be proud of.

With Dota 2 fans worldwide having finalized their predictions for the Playoffs Stage, one can’t help but wonder if anyone will get them all correct.

The chances are incredibly slim, to say the least, but maybe, when the dust settles over the grand final on September 14, a handful of gamers will have made every right choice in their playoff stage predictions.

There are still nine players and two coaches competing who’ve already won a past The International, amping up the hype level to the maximum faster than a Nature’s Prophet can push the top lane.
