Tundra Esports Take Down Dominant Falcons to Lift Third BLAST Slam Trophy In A Row
At the Singapore Indoor Stadium, 12 of the best Dota 2 teams battled for their share of the $1 million prize pool and the coveted BLAST Slam IV trophy. Frontrunners quickly emerged, with Tundra Esports and Team Falcons making their presence felt.
Tundra Esports and Team Falcons earned spots directly in the semifinals after dominating the group stage with 9-2 scores. The latter are the TI14 winners, who also won FISSURE Playground 2, while the former are the defending champions, having won both BLAST Slam II and III.

BLAST Slam IV Playoffs: Tundra & Falcons Soar
MOUZ won the first game of the semifinal, putting Tundra Esports on notice. On the brink of elimination, Tundra Esports bounced back with a 2-1 reverse-sweep victory to earn a spot in the grand final. Team Falcons, on the other side of the bracket, made quick work of HEROIC in the semifinals, winning 2-0 for a spot in the grand final.
Team Falcons drew first blood in the grand final of BLAST Slam IV, looking for their fourth tournament win in a row. Tundra Esports responded instantly with a win in game two, tying up the score 1-1.
Showing their prowess, Falcons smashed Tundra Esports in a quick, 26-minute game to go up 2-1 in the series. Tundra mounted a considerable comeback, spoiling Team Falcons’ day by winning the final two games in a row for a 3-2 score, thereby claiming the BLAST Slam IV trophy.
The grand final of BLAST Slam IV produced an edge-of-your-seat match that went the distance. For the first time in a top-tier Dota 2 grand final, the drafts of two back-to-back games were exactly alike. Yes, Tundra Esports and Team Falcons drafted identical heroes in games four and five, both of which Tundra won to lift the BLAST Slam IV trophy.
