Tundra Wins Fourth Consecutive BLAST Slam V Trophy With Clean Sweep

At the Wuliangye Culture & Sports Center in China, Neta “33” Shapira led Tundra Esports to victory as fans witnessed an absolute stomping on December 7, marking the end of top-tier Dota 2 LANs for the year with BLAST Slam V.

Tundra Esports already etched their name into the history books by winning BLAST Slam II, III, and IV. Here’s how the defending champions won BLAST Slam V, as we predicted in our Power Rankings, including final results and standings.

Tundra Esports Goes 15-1 To Win BLAST Slam V

The group stage was a grueling process: a 12-team best-of-one round-robin format, where the top two teams advanced directly to the playoffs semifinals, the bottom four teams were eliminated, and the 3rd- to 8th-place teams competed on the play-in stage.

During the first stage of competition, we saw a significant upset: The International 2025 (TI14) finalists, Xtreme Gaming, were eliminated early by Team Yandex.

As the back-to-back-to-back defending champions, Tundra Esports didn’t pull any punches, going on a huge win streak in the group stage. They earned a semifinal spot in the BLAST Slam V playoffs with a 10-1 record, losing only to TI14 champions Team Falcons.

In the quarterfinals, Team Yandex kicked off the playoffs stage by reverse-sweeping OG. More impressively, however, was Team Yandex’s semifinals 2-0 sweep of Team Falcons, sending one of the favorites packing to reach the grand final.

On the other side of the bracket, MOUZ took out NAVI in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, MOUZ’s hope of their second top-tier LAN trophy came to a grinding halt, as Tundra Esports swept them 2-0.

While Tundra Esports had a close call against Team Falcons at the previous BLAST Slam event, winning 3-2, Team Yandex couldn’t really challenge the defending champions.

In only three games, Tundra Esports closed out proceedings, beating Team Yandex with a clean 3-0 sweep. Boasting a 10-1 record in the group stage and 5-0 in the playoffs stage, Tundra Esports went 15-1 to win the tournament—now that’s domination.

With the win, Tundra Esports secured four consecutive BLAST Slam trophies. The only time Tundra Esports didn’t win was at the inaugural BLAST Slam event, where they lost to BetBoom Team in the grand final on December 1, 2024.
