Vici Gaming Returns to Dota 2 with Star-Studded Roster
After two years away from the competitive scene, legendary Chinese organization Vici Gaming is officially back in Dota 2 with a star-studded roster. The organization is known for its early years in the game and has re-entered the fray with a new lineup that combines seasoned talent with fresh faces.
The new Vici Gaming lineup features:
- Lou “Lou” Zhen
- Guo “Xm” Hongcheng
- Chung “Ws” Wei Shen
- Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan
- Ding “Dy” Cong
Xm Leads Lineup After Silver Medal at TI14
Coming fresh off a second-place finish at The International 2025, Xm headlines VG’s new lineup after parting ways with Xtreme Gaming. At the event, Xm played solid Dota and is still looking like one of the best mid-laners in the region.
This won’t be Xm’s first rodeo with the VG organization, as he has previously represented the team in 2022 during the early years of his Tier 1 career.
Veteran Supports Going Another Round
Fans of Chinese Dota will instantly recognize the support duo on this team. Dy, a well-known legend, returns to competitive play after a year-long hiatus. During his time off, he got married and is now looking to return to competition.
His former support duo, Pyw, is also making a comeback. He’s another familiar face in the scene, having played for big teams such as VG, Xtreme Gaming, Azure Ray, and Invictus Gaming. The support duo has played together under the VG banner, as they’ll look to rekindle their chemistry.

Promising Young Guns to Fuel the Comeback
Lou will be taking the carry position on the team. He’s a player who has already proven himself on the global stage, best known for his period as a player for Azure Ray, where he helped his team achieve a top-four finish at The International 2023.
Meanwhile, Ws brings a new flavor to the roster. The 20-year-old formerly played for Talon Esports, making his first career move from Southeast Asia to China. He’s currently ranked #1 on the Southeast Asian leaderboards, ensuring his raw mechanics are unmatched.
A Brighter Future for Chinese Dota?
China’s strong showing at TI14 may have played a significant role in VG’s return. With Xtreme Gaming and Team Tidebound making waves in Hamburg, both making deep runs, it feels like Chinese Dota is once again on the rise.
With the region’s motivation rejuvenated, VG is set to combine its mix of tried-and-tested veterans and fresh new talent to reignite the future of Chinese Dota.
