Yatoro Reveals Two Strongest Dota 2 Teams After Post-International 14 Roster Shuffle
As part of the core lineup of Team Spirit, who won both The International 2021 and 2023, Ukrainian legend Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk is considered one of the greatest carry players of all time. His opinion and insights hold significant weight, and recently, he named the teams that he believes made the most significant roster changes in the offseason.
Many top-tier Dota 2 esports teams make changes after a season ends, and the post-The International 2025 (TI14) roster shuffle was certainly interesting. As the BLAST Slam IV kicked off, marking the start of the new season, Yatoro revealed his opinion on the strongest roster moves.

Yatoro’s Strongest Dota 2 Teams After Roster Shuffle
In a recent interview with BLAST, Yatoro was asked about Team Spirit’s roster changes, noting the addition of support player and captain, Nikita “panto” Balaganin, with “good synergy building” between the new addition and coach Airat “Silent” Gaziev.
Team Spirit is, of course, one of the favorites at the start of the new season. However, Yatoro believes a few other teams made some powerful changes to their rosters as well.
“Xtreme Gaming looks solid,” Yatoro said. “They have made some good changes. Liquid also made some interesting moves, though it’s still early to say for sure. They look really strong on paper.”
The Chinese powerhouse, Xtreme Gaming, made it all the way to the grand final of TI14 before losing to Team Falcons. Check out their new roster below, with three significant changes.
Xtreme Gaming roster:
- Wang “Ame” Chunyu
- Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang (replaced Guo “Xm” Hongcheng)
- Lin “Xxs” Jing
- Xu “fy” Linsen (replaced Zhao “XinQ” Zixing)
- Yap “xNova” Jian Wei (replaced Wilson “poloson” Koh)

As the defending champions at TI14, Team Liquid fell short of greatness, ending in a disappointing 9th-13th place. Following Aydin “Insania” Sarkohi’s retirement, the organization rebuilt its Dota 2 roster with two changes.
Team Liquid roster:
Michael “miCKe” Vu
Michał “Nisha” Jankowski
Marcus “Ace” Christensen (replaced Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek)
Samuel “Boxi” Svahn
Erik “tOfu” Engel (replaced Aydin “Insania” Sarkohi)
Two players always on the same wavelength, now flowing as Liquid.

A third team, Aurora Gaming, was also mentioned by Yatoro, noting: “Aurora too. But it’s too early to talk about these things. We’ll see where things are after a couple of tournaments this season.”
Aurora Gaming is currently playing with one stand-in at BLAST Slam IV, after moving Gleb “kiyotaka” Zyryanov to the bench. Chan “Oli” Chon Kien was added to the roster at the start of October, after losing panto to Team Spirit.
