Escape from Tarkov Event Based on Player Feedback Live Now
Battlestate Games is eager to prove it’s listening to fans worldwide after rolling out a new Escape from Tarkov event built on the back of player-driven feedback. Recently, Battlestate Games’ Nikita Buyanov was floating on social media requesting ideas and suggestions from the community. He has since leant into that feedback and constructed a brand-new Tarkov event that many players have already responded positively to.
It has been a tough few weeks for the Escape from Tarkov community. Since the drama surrounding The Unheard Edition unfolded, Battlestate Games has found itself in a sticky spot. However, these most recent Tarkov changes are sure to change the sentiment surrounding the game, as the event features changes welcomed and recommended by the community.
What’s The New Tarkov Event?
The latest Escape from Tarkov event has been dubbed an ‘experiment’, despite featuring some mechanics that were present years ago. For the most veteran Tarkov players, it’s a minor ‘return to form’ for the game. Here’s what Battlestate Games said on Twitter:
‘As an experiment, we have removed the “Found in Raid” requirement for placing offers on the Flea Market for PvP and PvE modes. We will closely monitor player feedback during the event, and make additional balancing adjustments if necessary.’
In addition, loot has been better balanced across all maps, and certain areas have now got a higher chance of spawning rare loot. That means that items of a higher value are more likely to be found, making raids much more worthwhile. With Battlestate Games having ‘unlocked’ the Flea Market, anything can now be bought or sold there, including the equipment taken from defeated enemy players.
There were some changes made to the game’s inertia, weight, and stamina mechanics too, all of which were appreciated and welcomed by players. On some maps, ‘Scav’ spawn rates have been boosted, and some trading-based mechanics have been tweaked. There are plenty of amendments to scoop up in the latest Tarkov event, but that’s not everything. Battlestate Games has also removed the keycard requirement for The Lab.
That effectively means that players of all shapes and sizes are finding their way into the most lucrative (but toughest) map in Escape from Tarkov.
Is this enough or do you think Battlestate Games has much further to go to make amends?
