The global music community can take part through an open competition on music creator platform Audiotool. Two tracks will be selected and added to the official EWC music suite alongside the ones made at Abbey Road. They will all be featured across tournament broadcasts, on-site events and digital content across the entire gaming festival, which will kick off in July and end towards the end of August.

Additionally, the winning tracks will be selected as industry judges for the event and receive 25 limited-edition vinyls of their track, and a one-year LANDR studio subscription. Submissions will be open until June 8, 2025.

EWCF investing in music as a universal language

The EWCF is looking to make a long-term investment in music to elevate the storytelling, emotion, and drama of competition.

The Esports World Cup made headlines when it announced a new record-breaking $70+ million prize pool, increasing by $10 million compared to 2024. Out of the $70 million, 27 million will be assigned to the EWC Club Championship for the top 16 teams performing at the event. The top team will be crowned EWC Club Champion earning $7 million.

According to a release, the event will feature more than 2,000 esports players and 200 esports teams, making it the biggest esports event in the world.

Mike McCabe, Chief Operating Officer at the Esports World Cup Foundation, said: “At its core, the Esports World Cup is about community – a global platform that connects people and elevates talent in all forms. Music of EWC is a natural extension of that purpose, built on the same passion, creativity, and collaboration that define gaming and competition. Music and esports both bring people together, they let us feel the same rhythm, the same energy, wherever we are. With Music of EWC, we’re creating our own voice, sharing a universal language that tells the story of our sport and defines the role of esports in global culture.”
