Esports World Cup Announces First 20 Games for 2026 Event
The Esports World Cup (EWC) has announced a majority of the titles that will be played at the 2026 summer tournament, with 20 games already revealed and at least four more on the way.
2026 is set to be just the third EWC event. Still, it has already become a significant part of the esports ecosystem, featuring large prize pools and 8 weeks of nonstop action, all in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
In 2025, several game publishers signed multi-year agreements with the Esports World Cup Foundation to feature at the tournament for up to three years, and now most of them have been officially revealed.

Four mystery games have not yet been announced for the tournament. It’s worth noting that four titles were at the 2025 EWC event but haven’t been announced for 2026, so it may be that those just aren’t fully agreed to yet.
They are Rennsport, Rocket League, StarCraft 2, and Tekken 8. It’s heavily rumored that Rocket League and Tekken will be present once again, but there has not been much conversation around the futures of SCII and Rennsport at the event.
There are ample alternatives, with much speculation about games like Battlefield 6 or Fortnite, but it’s unclear when the final titles will be announced.

The 2025 Esports World Cup featured a total prize pool of over $70 million, spread across 25 tournaments and, of course, the Club Championship, in which the winners, Team Falcons, secured an extra $7m on top of the money earned from individual games.
While details around prize pools for 2026 are still under wraps, there’s no doubting they will want to ensure progression and improvements upon this year’s tournament, which may mean improved prize money for the most elite teams.
