Fortnite and Rocket League Announced for Esports World Cup 2026
Fortnite and Rocket League will both feature at the Esports World Cup 2026, following a newly announced partnership between the Esports World Cup Foundation and Epic Games.
Revealed today, the multi-year collaboration will bring Epic Games titles to the Esports World Cup over the next three years, expanding competitive opportunities for players, teams, and organizations involved. While Rocket League’s return to the event has been confirmed, the announcement places its main competitive focus on Fortnite.

Fortnite Reload Elite Series Championship Coming to EWC
As part of the partnership, EWC 2026 will host the Fortnite Reload Elite Series Championship, the official competitive circuit for Fortnite Reload, a fast-paced 40-player battle royale mode built around squad-based play.
The Reload Elite Series will begin online, with competition structured across Open Rounds, Play-Ins, Heats, and Finals. Each Final will be broadcast live on Fortnite Competitive channels, with the top 40 duos advancing to the Championship event at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Qualified teams will compete on the global stage for a $1 million prize pool, alongside valuable points toward the Esports World Cup Club Championship, which rewards performance across multiple games.
“Fortnite has established one of the largest global player communities and continues to influence gaming, entertainment, and digital culture far beyond the competitive space,” said Fabian Scheuermann, Chief Games Officer, Esports World Cup Foundation. “Hosting the Fortnite Reload Elite Series Championship at EWC introduces a new global, multi-year competitive ecosystem at the world’s biggest esports event.
“With a massive fanbase around the world, and particularly in Saudi Arabia, we look forward with excitement to welcoming the Fortnite community, including fans, pros, and creators, to Riyadh next summer.”
Rocket League Confirmed to Return
Alongside Fortnite, Rocket League has also been confirmed for Esports World Cup 2026. While no further details were shared regarding format, schedule, or prize pool, its inclusion marks the title’s return under the Epic Games partnership.
Rocket League has been a mainstay at EWC since its launch in 2024, and although it wasn’t included in the initial game announcements, there is no doubt that the community will look forward to the event this year.
