FACEIT Flies Out CS2 Prodigy Nocries to HQ Amid Cheating Accusations
Nocries, the Counter-Strike 2 phenom who has been hit with rampant cheating accusations as he dominated the NA FACEIT leaderboards, has been flown out to FACEIT HQ to be monitored and prove he’s legitimate.
Questions of whether nocries was cheating surfaced as his clips started to pick up across the internet, with popular content creators analyzing his gameplay to try to find out the truth.
Instead of banning him or letting the debate drag on, FACEIT gave nocries the chance to prove his innocence by flying him out to their headquarters in New York, on a fully monitored setup, and let him do what he does best.
FACEIT Puts Nocries to the Test
Playing on a clean system with admins watching his every move, Nocries rattled off nine wins in a row, including a game where he went 27-13 with a 1.97 rating.
On the third and final day of his monitored sessions, FACEIT invited him to trial for the FACEIT Pro League (FPL), the community where tier-one and tier-two pros grind daily. Sending out that invite suggests that FACEIT is not concerned about him possibly being a cheater.

One community member pointed out that nocries’ headshot percentage dropped from 64% at home to 48% at FACEIT HQ. Nocries simply responded with “awp,” clarifying that he had been playing more AWP rounds, which naturally lowers headshot stats.

Echoes of the ropz Story
If this situation all sounds familiar, it’s because we’ve seen this movie before. Eight years ago, young Robin “ropz” Kool faced the same wave of accusations. As an unknown grinder, his stats and gameplay looked almost too clean.
FACEIT flew him out, put him under the microscope, and ropz proved everyone wrong.
Today, he’s turned into a two-time Major winner and one of the best riflers in the world. His story is now legendary, and even ropz himself tweeted about the nocries’ situation.

Will nocries Save North American CS2?
The bigger takeaway here isn’t about nocries proving his innocence. It’s about the North American CS2 scene potentially finding its next star.
For years, it’s been no secret that the region has struggled to produce young talents capable of going toe-to-toe against the likes of Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, or Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold.
Now that nocries has the potential to be the next big thing, his rise could be a beacon of hope. Still, it’s early days, and one strong week under pressure doesn’t guarantee a career. But if he keeps this level of play up, NA might have just found its next star.
