EA has unveiled the latest twist in Ultimate Team for EA Sports FC 26, confirming that players in the Fantasy FC promo will receive upgrades based on real-world Fantasy Premier League performances.

The Week 2 expansion of the Fantasy FC promo sees the mode partner with the Premier League’s official Fantasy Premier League game for the first time, bringing Matchweek 29 results directly into Ultimate Team.

FC 26 Fantasy FC Live: Confirmed players and matches

Ten players have been selected for the crossover, each tied to a Premier League fixture scheduled for March 3-5. Their in-game upgrades will depend entirely on the Fantasy Premier League points they accumulate during those matches.

The featured fixtures and players are:

• AFC Bournemouth vs Brentford – Álex Jiménez
• Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace – Mathys Tel
• Leeds United vs Sunderland – Brenden Aaronson

• Newcastle United vs Manchester United – Amad Diallo
• Brighton & Hove Albion vs Arsenal – Leandro Trossard

How Fantasy FC Live Upgrades Work

Each player’s upgrade tier is determined by their Fantasy Premier League points total from Gameweek 29:

• 0–1 point: +1 OVR and an additional Role++
• 2–3 points: +2 OVR and all Roles++ for their main position
• 4–5 points: +3 OVR, all Roles++ for all positions, a second PlayStyle+, and one base PlayStyle
• 6–7 points: +4 OVR, all Roles++ for all positions, a second PlayStyle+, and two base PlayStyles
• 8+ points: +5 OVR, all Roles++, a second PlayStyle+, two base PlayStyles, and 5-star Skill Moves or Weak Foot

Upgrades are permanent, meaning strong real-world performances could significantly boost the value of selected cards in Ultimate Team.

How To Unlock Fantasy FC Live Players

To receive a Fantasy FC Live card, players must take part in the Fantasy FC Flash Rush Event, which runs from February 28 to March 3.

Players must complete matches in the Fantasy FC Rush mode using a player from the same club as the Fantasy FC Live item they want to unlock. For example, using a Tottenham player in Rush would make you eligible to select the Mathys Tel card.

Players can earn a maximum of two Fantasy FC Live items before the Objective Group locks on March 3.

If a selected player does not feature in their real-world fixture, they will automatically receive the lowest-tier upgrade (0–1 point).

With Gameweek 29 spread across a packed midweek slate, Ultimate Team managers now have an added reason to track every assist, clean sheet, and bonus point as they happen.
