2XKO’s First Major Esports Tournament Brings Impressive Viewership at Frosty Faustings
The competitive era of 2XKO began with a splash at Frosty Faustings 2026, where Riot Games’ new fighting game posted over 40,000 peak concurrent viewers in its first major tournament.
2XKO launched on January 20, 2026, a unique 2v2 team fighting game from the developer of two of the biggest esports in the world in League of Legends and Valorant.
While fighting games aren’t likely to ever draw the same level of interest as League or Valorant, they have clearly struck a chord with players and fans in their early days, as shown at Frosty Faustings.

2XKO Esports Viewership
According to Esports Charts data, the 2XKO tournament averaged roughly 14,269 viewers across its broadcast, a solid baseline for a competitive ecosystem still in its infancy.
While Frosty Faustings hosts dozens of fighting game tournaments each year, early viewership data suggests 2XKO’s standalone broadcast was one of the stronger-performing streams across the weekend.
Previous Frosty Faustings iterations of Tekken 8 – one of the elite fighting games – have peaked around 35,900 concurrent viewers, with an average that typically edged higher than many side events.
2XKO’s peak makes it one of the better-viewed fighting game brackets at Frosty Faustings this year, especially considering it is Riot’s first major and not yet part of an established pro circuit.

Competitively, the tournament saw good participation with close to 850 entrants in the mixed 2XKO bracket, the highest overall entrant count reported across events at Frosty Faustings XVIII.
The tournament’s conclusion saw “bleed” crowned as the first-ever 2XKO Major champion, defeating Steve “Supernoon” Carbajal in the grand final.
With its next Major slated for Evolution Championship Series Japan 2026 in May, 2XKO’s first live showing at Frosty Faustings hints at a viewership ceiling that could rival the biggest fighting games — though time will tell whether they can maintain that interest and momentum.
