Is Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO! Multiplayer?

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO will have multiplayer. There are two options for players: local and online. A listing on the Xbox store confirms that the new fighting game will have online multiplayer options, so players can take their talents to anyone they want to face. Locally, which means with friends, is also possible as per a PlayStation store listing. There is couch co-op, meaning two or more on the same console, but with one key caveat: it can only take place on the Hyperbolic Time Chamber map. It’s limited, but couch co-op is available. The feature has become an afterthought in current gaming, but it’s at least present in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO.

Does Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO! Feature Crossplay?

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is not expected to have crossplay at launch. There is hope for the game to eventually get crossplay. It is only available on three platforms: Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. This would make adding it simpler, but as of now, the developers have not. For the time being, whenever players enter an online multiplayer match, they will have to play with their own console. That means Xbox to Xbox, not Xbox to PlayStation. Only players on the same exact platform will play together. That goes to local, too. If you have a friend with the game on PlayStation, you won’t be able to join them from Xbox.
