Trying to complete the Crownfall Act 2 quest but couldn’t get the Firebug Thorax? You’re in luck because everyone else has already completed it, except for you. Turns out, it wasn’t a bug, unlike the various ones players have been reporting about the Dota 2 Patch 7.36. Nevertheless, here’s a step-by-step guide to get Firebug Thorax in Dota 2.
On the Crownfall Map, head over to the Snapfire’s Caravan. It’s the volcano on the right-side of the map. To find the Firebug, we will have to enter inside, which will show the inner side of the cave when you click on the designated checkpoint.

Once you reach this checkpoint and you see the change in the surrounding area, you will see the Firebug, which is the flying orange bug.
Now, most players likely reached this point but encountered a problem. They can’t press the Firebug, no matter how quick they were. As soon as you hover your mouse towards the Firebug, it elusively moves away and prevents you from clicking it.
It turns out the trick is to approach the Firebug really, really slowly! It takes some patience, but all you have to do is drag your mouse pointer slow enough for it to reach the Firebug. Then, you would be able to click on it.

Frankly, the Crownfall 2024 event has been nothing but amazing easter eggs and fun mini games. The thought that goes into creating such a creative challenge that rely on your mouse’s DPI (or dots per linear inch) to track your mouse movement speed.
