They’re a rare, valuable in-game currency. Like gold, they can be spent on items, but they don’t carry over from match to match.
Additionally, players are lucky to find more than a couple in a given game. If you do find them, you’ll be able to use them on valuable items, even Mythics. You have to get them first, so here’s where you can find those cases and what to do.

Dill Bit Display Cases spawn exclusively in banks. There are four banks across the brand-new island, and they each have vaults. To get into these vaults, you need to throw Thermite on the door and survive the waves of guards that spawn after. Then, you can loot them for chests, gold, and the Dill Bits.

That means there are only eight of the new currencies available, which makes them pretty rare. Once you find the case, all you have to do is search it. The currency will drop, and you can pick it up.
Once you have at least one Dill Bit, you can spend it at Fortnite Black Markets. That’s right, the battle royale now has an underground market for illicit purchases. There are three black markets on the map, and you can see the shop icon on the minimap when you’re close. They’re found at the following landmarks:
Here, there are certain cases with weapons, primarily Mythics, in them. You can spend your Dill Bit on one or another available item at the Black Market. Even if you don’t have the new currency, there are items available for gold bars as well.
