Epic Games Gets Breakthrough in Return of Fortnite Mobile
Fortnite Mobile is one step closer to returning to the United Kingdom and Europe. A few days ago, Epic Games officially submitted the app and their own version of the Epic Games Store for iOS.
This was the subject of the tension that led to the removal of the app in the first place. Now, the two sides have seemingly come to an understanding on that front, and a recent development marked a major step towards getting the game back on iPhones and other Apple devices.

Fortnite Mobile Accepted for Europe and UK
On July 5, Epic Games submitted an official return for Fortnite Mobile on iOS in those countries. Shortly after, Apple rejected their bid. This initially put a damper on the hopes of all mobile players, but it quickly reversed. It didn’t take long for the initial rejection to give way to an approval. In fact, after two rejections, Epic finally broke through with Apple and got the app approved to return, according to leaker HYPEX.
This is a big step towards getting the mobile version available for iPhones and iPads everywhere, a move that seems to have been coming closer to becoming a reality for a while, since it was leaked that Epic were synchronizing V-bucks with Apple devices.
Fortnite has not been on any iOS devices since 2020, but those days are coming to an end.
This update is for the UK and Europe only at this point, but it’s important for the rest of the world as well. Once Epic Games and Apple work past their disagreements, which it seems they have, they can bring the game back to mobile devices everywhere.
The UK and Europe are evidently first in line, but it’s very likely that other regions of the world, including the United States, will get the app back on the App Store sooner rather than later. This has been a long, testy, drawn-out battle, but it looks like those who’ve suffered without the game and all the epic Fortnite collaborations can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.
There is currently no timetable for when all this will happen, but it’s coming eventually.
