Fortnite map likely to lose 4 major POIs in Chapter 5 Season 3
The Fortnite Map always changes from season to season. For example, the Chapter 5 Season 3 island introduced four new POIs for the Greek mythology theme. It removed Hazy Hillside to make room for them. Some seasons get more drastic changes to the island, especially those that introduce a new chapter. The Chapter 3 island was totally different from the Chapter 2 island, and the Chapter 2 island had been a in stark contrast to the Chapter 1 map. Heading into Chapter 5 Season 3, which debuts in less than 24 hours, a new leak suggests that this map change could be rather significant.

Fortnite map likely losing 4 major landing spots
According to the latest leak from ShiinaBR, a few mainstays on the Chapter 5 island are going to be removed in the next update. Fencing Fields and Restored Reels have been on the island since the debut of this chapter. Restored Reels was previously Ruined Reels, but the POI is the same. Both of them will be leaving once the new season arrives. Along with those two, Mount Olympus and The Underworld will leave, too. We will know the complete list once the Fortnite Update Patch Notes are out, though.
Those were introduced as part of the Greek theme for Chapter 5 Season 2, so it’s no surprise that they’re leaving the Fortnite map. However, it is interesting that they’re the only Greek POIs leaked to be leaving. Grim Gate and Brawler’s Battleground were also home to God Chests and the Greek God Bosses. The leak didn’t mention them, though, which indicates that they could be sticking around. They will likely have to change to fit the new theme, though.
The theme is Wrecked, and there are rumors of a Fallout-themed POI. This is in keeping with that theme and the teased Fortnite x Fallout collaboration. Naturally, some old POIs, and perhaps some fan-favorites, will have to leave since the island is only so big. The new season is scheduled to release at around 2 am EST on May 24, following some downtime. Once it goes live sometime in the morning, players will have a better understanding of what the new Fortnite map is going to be in Chapter 5 Season 3.
