King Kong to Join Godzilla in Fortnite Chapter 6? Here’s what we know

King Kong could be joining the Fortnite island soon. Leaks suggest the titan ape, who has been opposite Godzilla for a few movies now, is the next Kaiju to land on the island. Chapter 6 players have already seen the giant lizard on the island (as well as featured in the battle pass) and now his counterpart could be joining next. Here’s everything we know about Kong’s potential arrival.

Fortnite x King Kong could be coming in Chapter 6

King Kong was leaked for Fortnite long ago. The famous monkey and movie character makes sense this season given the presence of Godzilla. They have been two sides of the same coin for years now in film, so it makes sense that the metaverse would add them both. The leaks also suggest that Kong will be a boss just like Godzilla, both of whom make a Fortnite collaboration.

In the game files, Epic Games is reportedly working on a boss codenamed “Banana.” That alone could indicate Kong, but the boss is said to roar, growl, and thump. That sure makes it sound like a monkey, and Kong makes the most sense. If Godzilla is already a boss and there’s clearly a monkey boss coming next, then King Kong is certainly the logical choice.

There’s no timetable yet. Kong is expected to be part of the game soon. The leaks did not specify when, though. Additionally, while this wasn’t specified, it’s probable that the monkey skin will show up in the Item Shop when it does arrive on the island. Since Godzilla is already part of the battle pass, that skin won’t.

It would make sense for Epic to release the boss and subsequent skin at the same time that Godzilla goes live. That will happen on January 17. When Godzilla is available, look for Kong to join him on the island. Keep in mind that these are Fortnite leaks. As such, there’s no guarantee that the titan monkey will land on the island at all.
