Once the current Remix season ends, Fortnite Chapter 6 will arrive. Lately, chapter changes in the game have included major shifts in gameplay and even the inclusion of brand-new permanent game modes. While it’s not likely to mirror Chapter 5’s introduction, players can expect Chapter 6’s arrival to be pretty incredible. With weeks to go until it actually launches, a few leaks have already begun to surface.

Chapter 6 will launch in December. Fortnite players have until November 30 to enjoy Remix before the next chapter update goes live. In that update, there will be a lot of content.
Fortnite Chapter 6 is set to arrive in December for all players to enjoy.
A new chapter means a new page for Fortnite. It’s usually accompanied by a lot of big changes to the game, completely changing how some of the modes are played. Unsurprisingly, Fortnite Chapter 6 won’t be an exception. Here’s what we know.
First, and this has been known for a little while, the new chapter will have a Japanese theme. Some of the leaks and teasers have indicated this. Epic Games has done this before with locations and other aspects of the game, but the full chapter’s theme will be similar this time.
Masamune blades could also be a part of the next chapter. This fits with the Japanese theme, as these are some of the most storied blades in Japanese history. These will likely be melee weapons.
In this chapter, medallions will return. They’ve been present in non-OG/Remix seasons since the beginning of Chapter 5. They will be revamped, though. How they will remains to be seen, but they won’t function the same way and might be nerfed again.
Chapter 6 will remove battle stars and revert to the previous battle pass progression. The Quad Launcher is expected to return to the loot pool. There is a new “void” feature and there will be a brand-new industrial POI.
New game mechanics, including going prone like in Call of Duty and swinging, are set to be added as well. There will also reportedly be cats on the island that follow players around. Of course, with the chapter launching in December, the Winterfest Update will come during the first season. It’s expected to launch on December 10.
Finally, as previously mentioned, Chapter 6’s arrival will eventually lead to the return of Fortnite OG in a permanent sense. Please remember that these are leaks and are not guaranteed to come to fruition until either they do, or Epic Games confirms them for Fortnite Chapter 6.
Leaks also suggest there will be a fascinating new mechanic for Chapter 6. There will evidently be a section of the map that rotates through day and night. The leaker said that this would be a biome, so it’s likely a large chunk of the map. Depending on whether or not it’s day or night, different animals and NPCs will spawn. Some items or services will only be available during certain times.
Fortnite Chapter 6 is supposed to get a brand-new biome. The map often has distinct biomes, such as the forest, desert, or mountains. In the next chapter, it has been leaked that a “large purple forest” will be added to the ecosystem. This comes from renowned leaker HYPEX.
Epic Games has worked with a ton of animes over the years, including My Hero Academia and Naruto. Now, they’re poised to add Demon Slayer. The hit anime was leaked initially, but teasers for Chapter 6 from Epic itself have teased the eventual crossover.
Speaking of anime, the Kunai Mythic weapons from the Naruto crossover are on the way back to the game as well. It has been over two years since they were featured in the game, but HYPEX is reporting that they’ve been rediscovered in the game files for Chapter 6.
Collaborations are all the rage in Fortnite now, and Chapter 6 is poised to have a few big ones. One such crossover allegedly coming next season is Big Hero 6. Baymax, the popular character from the movie, was featured in some leaked promo art. Also implied by the promo art are Godzilla, the return of pet back blings, and a new Hope skin.
There will be special chests in Chapter 6. They have been compared to the Faction Chests and other similar ones. Think back to Chapter 4 Season 1 or Chapter 5 Season 2. The special chests that dropped rare, good items are coming back. They will more than likely be themed to fit the Japanese style much like the Chapter 5 Season 2 chests fit the Mythology theme. It is also leaked that they’ll be for one side of the Chapter 6 conflict.
There is expected to be a Giant Turtle POI. That alone is interesting enough, but there is a leak that this POI will move around the map. Never before has a POI changed spots on the island, so this is a big change for Fortnite. It is unclear if the POI’s movement will be live while players are in-game, which could be chaotic, or if it will happen off-screen while players aren’t in matches.
Godzilla, which is a leaked skin on the battle pass, is apparently going to be on the island as well. However, the giant radioactive lizard is not a friendly NPC. Instead, it will be one of the island’s bosses. Given that Godzilla fights with laser beams from its body, it will be interesting to see what sort of Mythic it drops or how difficult it is to defeat.
