The next Fortnite season won’t be like this one. Currently, the season is fully Star Wars-themed. Chapter 6 Season 3 has almost exclusively Star Wars items, and the battle pass, as well as all NPCs on the island, are from a galaxy far, far away. They’ve done this before. There have been two Marvel seasons. It looks like next season will not be fully collaborative, though.

With the upcoming release of the new Superman movie from James Gunn, there is a collaboration planned for Fortnite. Superman is coming back to the game (he was in the Chapter 2 Season 7 battle pass) in a new way for the movie. According to leaks, there will also be a Mythic item for him, which suggests he’s going to be an NPC and thus part of the battle pass.
There has been a DC season before, but not one as fully collaborative as Chapter 2 Season 4, Chapter 5 Season 4, or the current season. With the timing of the season and the return of Superman, there could’ve been a DC season in the works. A new leak all but kills that idea.
Leaker ShiinaBR pointed out that both Superman and Saitama (One Punch Man) are planned for next season. These two do not exist in the same universe. That rules out a possible collab season. Superman and Saitama can be on the same battle pass. They just won’t be joined by characters from their respective IPs and see the entire season revolve around that.
Additionally, there is a leak that Daft Punk is coming next season, but that very well might be for Festival mode. Since Daft Punk is an artist, it would fit better in that mode than in Battle Royale. These are leaks, so they’re not confirmed. However, they do seem to suggest that next season will be a return to normalcy. There will be a normal battle pass with a few collaborations, not the other way around.
