Fortnite Deadpool Collaboration Gains Steam Ahead of Movie Release

With just a couple of weeks left before his latest movie releases, the Fortnite Deadpool collaboration that’s been rumored just got another round of significant evidence.

What’s interesting about this potential collaboration is that it involves two characters already in the game. Both Deadpool and Wolverine, the titular characters from the upcoming film, are already a part of the Fortnite Marvel collabs. In fact, they were both part of separate battle passes. Deadpool arrived in Chapter 2 Season 2 and Wolverine was featured in Chapter 2 Season 4. In some way or another, it looks like these characters might be coming back.

Movie Promotion Teases Fortnite Deadpool & Wolverine Collaboration

Movie stars often hit the road to promote their upcoming films, and Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are no different. Playing Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, they are leading the marketing for this movie. As part of their promotion, they’re visiting and appearing with Fortnite content creators. This is an unusual tactic for an X-Men movie that seemingly doesn’t have a direct connection to the game.

That’s why it is all but guaranteed that some sort of collaboration is coming. Fortnite Deadpool can’t come back since he was a battle pass exclusive (the same is true for Fortnite Wolverine), but some version of the character or something is coming around the time that the movie releases. Given the fact that they’re doing this as part of the press tour from the movie, i.e. valuable time to promote the film itself, it seems like the collaboration is rather big and important.

Is Deadpool pranking us?

Deadpool is a known jokester. Perhaps this tease is his idea of a good time. He’s also the only fully aware Marvel character out there. He would know that he’s in Fortnite, and he would also know that he’s in a movie.

It gets a little convoluted, but it could all just be a joke for Ryan Reynolds to play. However, given that they are taking away from the film’s promotion to do content with Fortnite creators, it’s very likely that it’s a real crossover and that the advertisement for it is genuine.
