A popular item is about to come back in the next Fortnite OG Update. The bush, a Legendary item that allows players to camouflage themselves as shrubbery, was a very popular item back in Chapter 1. However, the current, permanent OG mode doesn’t have it.
This is because it starts in Season 1, which does not have the bush item. The seasons will progress almost exactly like they did back in 2017, albeit on a shorter timeline. Pretty soon, the exciting wearable bush will be back in the loot pool.

According to ShiinaBR, the next Fortnite OG Update is going to bring the bush back. The addition is already being advertised in the game news feed, which means it’s coming pretty soon. The Chapter 1 Season 1 gameplay is said to last through January 31, which is when it will then transition into Season 2. Fortunately, players won’t have to wait that long to bush up.
The map right now has plenty of real bushes on it, but there is no fear that a player is masquerading as such and will jump out and earn a free elimination on an unsuspecting passerby. After the next update, which is scheduled for Wednesday, December 18, and will have a brief period of downtime, the bush will be live again. It will not join the Chapter 6 loot pool with these exciting Mythics.
This is technically in keeping with exactly how things went the first time. The bush was a Season 1 item, but it wasn’t there from the outset. Some things, such as the movement, are different from the original Season 1, but this is one thing Epic Games has kept consistent.
There will be Fortnite updates in between season changes. Nevertheless, here’s when each season of OG begins and ends:
