Fortnite teases new icon skin for Nick Eh 30: Is it finally happening?

Fortnite Icon Skins aren’t all that common. While quite a few celebrities, athletes, content creators, and more have been added to the game in this capacity, there are far more who have not been given this treatment. Some of the most prominent Fortnite players and social media personalities are still waiting for an Icon Series skin. Over the years, it is reasonable to expect Epic Games to introduce plenty more, and the majority of these people will eventually be satisfied. One person who’s been waiting for this treatment for a long time might finally get it.

Nick Eh 30 Icon Skin Teased by Fortnite

From nearly the beginning of Fortnite’s reign as the top Battle Royale video game, Nick Eh 30 has been among the most prominent creators. He has been a beacon of the Fortnite community for a very long time, alongside Ninja, SypherPK, Lachlan, Chica, and many others. Most of those people already have an Icon Skin to their name, but not Nick Eh 30. That may finally be changing.

Fortnite took to X, formerly Twitter, to shout out Nick Eh 30’s signature phrase. It tweeted, “Never back down, never what?” which is a common hearing in Nick Eh 30’s streams. Nick himself responded with, “NEVER GIVE UP!” which is the latter half of the phrase. The whole phrase is pinned on his personal X account as well. Fortnite knows exactly what they’re doing with this tease.

The teasing didn’t stop there, though. Fortnite again tweeted out a picture of several players in the lobby with the caption, “Bro thinks he’s the king?.” This is another reference to Nick Eh 30. The streamer did an infamous roleplay with other gamers where he said those words. Nick responded to this tweet as well with, “I’M THE KING”, another reference to the same event.

Fortnite leaks often tease Icon Skins for creators like this. It seems like it’s all but guaranteed that Nick Eh 30 will finally receive the Icon Skin he’s waited so long for. It might be coming seven years after he and Fortnite were really in their prime, but better late than never.
