A Fortnite new gun surfaced in the latest patch: the Tri-Beam Laser Rifle from Fallout. The crossover with the hit post-apocalyptic video game franchise didn’t just involve Nuka-Cola or the T-60 Power Armor. Epic Games just introduced one of the most powerful weapons in the franchise. Those trying to survive the Wasteland had to find this gun. Now, they can do the same in the battle royale.

The Tri-Beam Laser Rifle from Destiny 2 is the latest in a long line of collaborative weapons. These are usually Mythic, like Captain America’s Shield, Spider-Man’s Web Shooters, or Darth Vader’s Lightsaber. Sometimes, they find themselves just naturally in the loot pool and belong to other rarities. The Tri-Beam Laser Rifle, for example, is of the Epic rarity. It’s only Epic, so the purple variant is the only one that players will be able to find.
Much like other Mythic weapons, it has infinite ammo. Since it fires lasers and those don’t use the ammo that already exists in Fortnite: Battle Royale, it’s endless. You can fire it as many times as you want without running out of ammo. There is one caveat, though. The new gun in Fortnite has a pretty quick cooldown. Within 10 shots, you will likely need to stop shooting to let the weapon reset.
Nonetheless, the Tri-Beam Laser Rifle in Fortnite is very powerful. It boasts 117 damage per second and does 39 per body shot (58 to the head). There’s virtually no recoil, either. You can shoot it as many times as you want, and the crosshair will hardly move. It has a fire rate of 3 and a reload time of two seconds, so it can be one of the most useful weapons in the entire game. If you need to destroy builds with it, it deals 49 damage to builds per shot.
You can find this in regular chests, though Level 2 Chests have an increased chance since it is Epic rarity. Supply drops and drones can drop the weapon as well. You can also find the new Fortnite gun on the floor. You cannot, however, get it from fishing or from a weapon case. It’s not an extremely common spawn, but there are plenty of ways you can find one and start blasting like you’re in New Vegas.
