New Move Potentially Coming to Fortnite Soon
There are a lot of ways you can attack and deal damage to players in Fortnite. You can shoot them with a variety of weapons from up close and afar. You can shoot out their builds and send them to some fall damage. You can pickaxe them with your harvesting tool if you’re close enough. Shooting remains the best and most useful, but there are tons of ways. Epic Games may be working on a new way to impact enemies and deal some damage.

Epic Games May Add New Damage Method to Fortnite
According to leaker HYPEX, one day, you might be able to push your Fortnite opponents around. Epic Games is reportedly working on a feature that will allow you to give your opponent a “light shove.”
The description of the new feature, which could be a mechanic or an item, reads, “A new weapon/ability that enables Players to shove other Players away from them with a light force.” HYPEX noted that it’s currently unclear whether or not this will be in regular Battle Royale or reserved for Creative with UEFN.
Situationally, this could be a total game-changer. If two players are engaged in a build fight and land on top of a floor together, one could push the other and send them off. That could send them to their death, but it would at least give the one player the upper hand momentarily.
You could also sneak up on a skybase or on a building where someone’s hiding and push them off the edge. There is a similar move right now: the slide kick. If you slide into someone, you can knock them into the air and potentially off something. This will also deal damage. However, that requires speed and aim, and it’s very difficult to surprise someone with this mechanic. The push would be easier to manage.
The leak did not say when this mechanic might be coming to Fortnite. However, Epic Games routinely tries to shake things up with the gameplay (and just removed two mechanics), so it could be sooner rather than later in Chapter 6.
